I'd like to update my review for this game, I think I unfairly judged this game based purely on how it plays with the CPU, and after playing it with a friend, I can confidently say the game is SIGNIFICANTLY more playable when playing against a human, and I'd go so far as to say it's actually a solid game (when playing against another human).

All of the problems I have with the game stem from Player vs. CPU in which I found it's pretty much impossible to win, and really no fun. (If you scroll down you'll find my schizophrenic rant about it!)

For some reason, none of the issues persist when playing against a human. All of the buggy controls, players not responding to inputs, AI not catching/blocking/throwing accurately. I mean, literally ALL of the problems are just non-existent in the 1v1 PvP. It's quite strange honestly.

It's like the two modes are built on completely different frameworks or something, with different code, different developers, different everything. So I'll say this -- Maximum Football is actually a solid football game IF you play against humans. -DO NOT- play against the CPU, it practically turns into a rage game and is borderline unplayable if you do.

this game is nowhere near complete, the controls aren't intuitive and aren't responsive, every time i switch to the ball carrier i have no control over the player for like 3 seconds. the players rarely ever respond to inputs.

it seems like the cpu will always perform better no matter what, to test out this theory i did a cpu exhibition game with the highest overall team vs the lowest overall and i was getting sacked immediately after hiking the ball, my receivers were getting bullied, nobody can block, d-linemen can't get off blocks, dbs can't intercept balls (unless its the cpu playing of course!)

plus the switching of players is so awful and never seems to work properly, and for some reason the ai on MY TEAM can't tackle for ♥♥♥♥ but the cpu team will tackle me immediately and cause fumbles constantly? also the passing system sucks ass, you have to hold down a button for what feels like 5 seconds to get the qb to throw a bullet pass and by that time ive already been sacked LOLOL! the qb is never accurate (unless its the cpu qb of course!)

everything about the game just screams unpolished and quite frankly might be the only time ive actually gotten genuinely angry at an nfl game ever. madden is a copy paste every year with new bugs each release but Maximum Entertainment have somehow made a WORSE GAME. this game is a blemish on american football and quite frankly every developer who is responsible for making this game should be tied up, have boiling water poured on their legs, their fingers chopped off one by one, farted on, mutilated, molested, and then abolished from existence by an all powerful being with supernatural abilities. i am the bale.

great remaster, literally the same game just more accessible and less janky to play.

Okay but actually this is honestly one of the worst mods I've ever played and/or seen, and I didn't even get past the second chapter.

The animations are terrible.

The voice acting is horrible.

The lighting is bad.

The weapons do no damage and the models look like they were made for a mobile game.

The level design is bad.

Literally everything about this mod gives a horrible first impression.

I have no desire to play anymore
