as much as i love the game, the ways to buy it if you already have a lesser version are a rip off, there is no option for a "gold" upgrade, which used to cost less than 30 on most stores, at least $10 less than buying the crowns necessary to get everything the gold edition gave in game even though its the exact ammount needed so you're not technically overpaying. Plues even after paying twice (once on PS4 a while ago and recently again on steam) you have to create an entirely new account with a different email just to be able to play on PC after having played on a console.
Keep in mind that i bought the gold edition on console for maybe $30 and i only paid $10 for the base version on steam. While both were deals the point is that if a few questlines are more expensive alone than buying the whole game twice (one bundled to include these quests) you are being overcharged. I plan to keep playing so that maybe Ill get my moneys worth, but be you have been warned. Also, always keep a support page up for error 11 and error 102, and if you're lucky and your steam version of the game isnt broken you might actually be able to close and reopen the game without dread.
