I may only have 100 hours on steam, but i first played this game on disc and my hours are more likely around... 5,000

This is my all time favorite game. theres a lot to say

Units
Loads of different units. All of them are awesome, cool, fun to use and look awesome. There's always an abundance of choices and plenty of different way to play. Even naval combat is fun. taking battleships and blowing up naval bases (and even parts of the enemies land) is always fun.

Variety
Plenty of it. This game has everything from the first Supreme Commander game and added more to it. Incluiding a new faction. Each one may have similarities but theres a lot of different distinctions. The Aeon for example has slow firing units, but they have the most range and they deal heavy damage. Cybran has much faster, lazer shooting enemies and uses stealth units to execute surprise attacks. UEF has explosives and machine gun combos. Seraphim has a combination of all of those (sorta). BTW the new units added are very good and do make game changes.

New Players
If you played the 1st Supreme Commander game, you can go into this pretty easily, but for new players? not so much. Not only does this games story continue on from the 1st game, but when you start, you have all the units from the first game and new units for each level. Theres a tutorial, but it only covers UEF and the very basics. Though, it did improve a lot in unit descrptions so at least new players know what it does.

UI
Very clean easy to understand. Unit capabilities are defined well, each option for the units is easy to use and understand (unless your completely new), each attacking unit now has a defined attack range instead activating all at once or none at all, theres not an overabundance options but there is plenty to use. Its well made.

Addiction
This is one of those games where you can lose track of time because of how immersive it is. I can spend hours in one play session because seeing the progression, the firepower, the scale of it all, is breathtaking. I always want to keep playing because i am doing so much and watching so many things that it holds my attention.

Grind
There really isnt any grinding unless you count resource management. Each factory, builder is restricted by their tier so you only have to upgrade factories to get higher tiers. The factory will also decrease time for lower tiers after an upgrade. You cant stack engineers on factories for even faster unit production, and you can stack engineers when building as well to create buildings faster. Of course, if you cant manage the resources either it will slow to a crawl or just take the same amount of time as a regular build (thats if you stop stacking and your resources arent still being drained)

Multiplayer
This game's mulrtiplayer is no longer existant since GPGnet is dead, BUT there is a mod called Forged Alliance Forever which has brought back the multiplayer and it is very much alive.

Campaign
It is fun to play (the story isnt engaging, but the gameplay is), depending on which faction you paly, you can obtain different side missions, some dont make any real changes, others can give you an advantage in battle. The friendly ai is very weak and barely helpful. When you first start out, they are ok but later on, they dont make any real changes. Thankfully there is a mod that increased unit cap, makes friendly ai way more useful and adds new friendly ai that doesnt exist in the base game. here's a link if youre interested: https://www.moddb.com/mods/forged-alliance-enhanced-campaign-ai

I've enjoyed this game since it came out and i still enjoy it today. Its one of the best RTS games ever made and i reccomend this game especially if you like RTS
