I played Subnautica during the cozy evenings of a winter break after my first semester of university. I can't think of a better time to have played it. I stayed up late multiple days in a row to finish this game. The first thing I remember about Subnautica is the sense of wonder and curiosity in slowly but surely unravelling the clues and diving to deeper depths. The environment, lighting, sound and narrative all worked together to create a thrilling experience that few games have created for me. Many people wish they can lose their memories and re-experience Subnautica for the first time again - I agree with this sentiment.
