a brutally honest commentary on how v-tubers and internet personalities are perceived, and also on how toxic internet culture truly is. gameplay is fun on the first few run throughs but it gets rather repetitive when you start going for all endings. WSS is absolutely a studio to keep on your radar.

i don't know what people see in this game.

first of all, it's absolutely gorgeous. the sound design is out of this world, and the graphics are SO good. i LOVE how this game looks. not so much everything else. all the collectables, the adventure log, all seems like so much fun to me. i love to fill out long lists of tasks.

this game is not an ARPG. it is nowhere near as fast paced as diablo, poe, or grim dawn. your character moves very slowly and your dashes/warps are on a very heavy cooldown. most abilities have a quite long 10-20s cooldown. i honestly do not know what people see in the combat. I know future raids have actual mechanics and require you to think, but the core gameplay just isn't for me, i guess.

this game is a KMMO. it's got the classic insanely boring "upgrade this BiS weapon to +25 but uh oh theres only a 1% chance it'll be successful or else you've just wasted a valuable material" end game stuff. there are costumes paid for with premium currency that increase your stats. same with pets. the story is garbage. it's absolutely bloated with dogwater systems that serve only to make you pay real money. there was this one quest where they give you a pet for free and throughout it they went like "wow, pets are amazing, you should buy the macguffin from the cash shop so that they become even more powerful" and they insist that you buy it really hard and it just felt kind of condescending and insulting lol.

i'm probably going to try putting a few more hours into this game because i desperately want to like it. but dude once i unlocked the "coddle your waifu" system where you have to gift your npc girlfriend things and emote at her i got so mad lmaoo

double edit: another nail in the coffin for this game is the community bro they are so annoying fr so i disabled comments. apparently i'm a casual who only hates this game because it's popular so take my review how u will LOL

really fun game that changes up the gameplay constantly, you will never ever be bored. it deserved goty 2021.

every fighter is good and viable
soundtrack is all bangers
art style goes hard
gameplay is top notch
best fighting game i've ever played

they have truly outdone themselves with this one, absolutely the best expansion to date. the only game in which i will wait in hours-long queues because the game itself is just so good lol.

don't be scared by the negative reviews, they don't have to do with the expac itself, rather it's abysmal launch, which will be fixed in due time. if you're nervous about it, wishlist and check back every week or so.

one of those games that is so good you need to stop reading the damn reviews right now so you can go in as blind as possible

EDIT: edit for steam awards. this is definitely my game of the year. also, look into the arg after you're done with this game. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane.

it's solid but my biggest issue is that the game literally turned into:
log in
walk
stash
walk back
log out
then do it again with all of my characters
and i got tired of it

press shift 10 times while selecting lunatic difficulty
