Every game of operations is a cinematic masterpiece. Best Battlefield game by far.

Edit: After multiple second chances and remapping basically the entire list of keybindings, I was able to make the game playable. The story and combat is good enough to recommend the game if you're a fan of 40k or generally interested in the IP. However, the dodging and parrying are still really jank sometimes, which can take you out of it pretty fast. Maybe get it on sale.

It's a great 40k game, but I feel like I'm fighting the controls more than the Tyranids. The game can't decide what it wants to be. It wants to swarm you with mixed enemy hordes in melee, but it also wants to you to have precise 1v1 duels with bosses and mini bosses, but it also wants you be a slow lumbering tank with high powered weapons to pick off enemies, but it also wants you to be a fast paced doom guy who dodges projectiles while swooping in for executions. I'm on keyboard and mouse, and still feel like I don't have enough buttons to actually participate in the game. If you're not REALLY into 40k, you'd probably have more fun just watching a playthrough.

Poor controls, flawed gameplay loop, tedious grind, boring story/environment. The only thing this game succeeds at is looking good (if you can get it to run) and being an advertisement for Mitsubishi.

Even if you've never played or heard of the originals, this is a damn fine horror game. Great scares, art, sound, etc. Its gameplay is even customizable where you can change or disable the prevalence of in game hints, change the difficulty of puzzles/clues, and change the difficulty of combat/how much you need to manage resources. You'll find lots of replay value with new game plus and a total of 8 different endings too.
If you have played the original, then this is even better because you have all the positives already listed AND a very faithful recreation of an iconic horror game brought up to and beyond modern standards. Here's hoping they give Silent Hill 3 the same treatment some day.

As far as gameplay goes, it's a fairly basic souls-like with a couple of unique mechanics that make use of the automaton theme. I liked the stamina quick-recharge mechanic.

Aesthetically is where the game obviously shines the most. Characters, animations, and environments are all beautiful and imaginative. The story and lore aren't really bad either. I'm not that big a fan of souls-likes, but credit where credit's due, the game's about an 8/10 even if that's mostly carried by the visuals/story.

if you're a fan of other PvE games (Killing Floor, Left 4 Dead, COD Zombies, etc.), then this one will make your top ten list for sure. Loads of enemy variety, character customization, weapons, missions, and gameplay variation packaged in the grimdark aesthetic and lore of 40k.

The gold standard for looter shooters. If you've still never played this game after all this time, you're seriously missing out. Out of the crazy amount of content (most of it end game) and potential playstyles there's no way you won't find something to have fun with.
