As of Q1 2025, I'm playing random singleplayer games. Haven't found a game to play for long periods of time for a few months.

The Game That Defines Me

My all-time favorite game is OMORI. Yes, better than all the action games I've ever played. OMORI is something that greatly resonates with my personal struggles and what matters most to me.

In my early childhood, it was the Kingdom Hearts series that really pulled me into gaming. Its themes also helped me realize what I liked. Over the years, it lost its value as I became disconnected with the story's slow progression. A story spanning 2 years took more than 8 years to finish, I couldn't feel the same about it at the end and felt somewhat empty.

By sheer luck in January 2021, I came across OMORI on the front page of Steam Store. A familiar publisher, RPGMaker game, very contrasting images. I checked out the trailer and screenshots, and in those three minutes, I decided to buy it without hesitation. No review check, no background check on the developer, no what ifs. I played blind with no help or references. It was the best decision I ever made in my gaming life. I know it's not a game for everyone though. It's for the art style, the humorous moments, themes, and story. It's one of the few games you'll come across where the community does its best to avoid spoilers (though, there are some extremely dense people who do otherwise and also give the game hate).

If you decide to play, it's a relatively easy party-based RPG game. And since you know the genre, you should be aware of what to expect checking it out. Anyone complaining about combat being boring has no idea what party-based means or never played party-based games. Plus, the battles are all drawings, not 3D.

And if you ever need help beating the bosses, I made a guide for that . No grinding at all. So if you see people complaining about the need to grind or people suggesting others to grind, I'm letting you know right now that if you defeat each boss with all party memebers alive, there is no need to beyond 3 or 4 extra battles. That's how easy the game was supposed to be.

What I Look For In Games

I mainly play games for story but appreciate some action-packed gameplay or build customization every now and then. Hence why I play Destiny 2. It brings out my creative thinking more than most games, the only other one being Nioh.

YouTube

I don't post videos frequently, but occasionally, I might do something worth recording.

My YouTube Channel

Don't expect too much though. It's just a side hobby.
