This game is such a joy to play. Excellent strategic gameplay fused with a vibrant art style, engaging storyline, and delightful (and legitimately funny) writing. As the game progresses, its levels play out more like a puzzle to solve, and working to achieve all the bonus objectives in a given level proves to be an extremely satisfying experience. I can't recommend TBW enough, and I'll be looking forward to whatever's next from this team!

Armored Core is back, baby. AC6's combat has clearly benefited from FromSoft's experience with its Soulsborne games, as it's the best the series' gameplay has ever felt. No prior experience with the series is necessary to enjoy this entry, either. What are you waiting for? Buy it.

This game good as hell, boi.

While the game doesn't quite live up to Amnesia: The Dark Descent, it's still an enjoyable and worthwhile experience for fans of the series/genre.

I haven't played a game in recent memory that has as much charm and heart as Hollow Knight. It's extremely evident how much a labor of love this game was for Team Cherry. I'm not normally a fan of MetroidVania types, but this game won me over with its tight, fluid controls, hauntingly beautiful music, and gorgeous hand-drawn art style. This is a must play, and a true indie gem.

UPDATE - I wrote this initial review based on my first impressions. After purchasing this game 2 more times (on Nintendo Switch and then the Voidheart Edition on PS4), I can definitely say that Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games of all time. Its gameplay, atmosphere, and sense of discovery and wonder are second to none.

This is one of the greatest games of our generation. It was a graphical tour de force when it released back in 1997, and while its visuals haven't aged as well as one might hope, the game still holds up as well today as it did back then. That's thanks in no small part to its fantastic story, excellent battle system (Materia is a great take on the class system), and superb soundtrack. Final Fantasy VII brought JRPGs into the mainstream. You need to play this game.
