Earl Thorvald was leading by a sandworm's length when suddenly Duke Leto alters history and ambushes his enemies instead, ultimately winning the battle for Arrakeen. Deckbuilding, worker placement, and a bit of resource managing, this board game adaptation is full of tide-turning battles, plans within plans, and scheming. Online multiplayer appears to be pretty active for a niche title on Steam; more fun with friends. Allows for asynchronous gameplay as well, which is a major plus. There's also challenge modes and seasonal organized online play.
