Dead game. The way you unlock items seems kind of retarded where it's super cheap but you'll only have it for one day but if you want to unlock something permanently you have to pay thousands upon thousands to unlock one thing. I remember this game being really fun but now the playerbase is just dead people who still play basically don't know how to have fun because they just run away to actually complete the objective instead of just fighting the 1 or 2 other players that still play this game. It's pretty sad init?

Horrid driving controls, boring missions, bland characters that basically give you those boring missions, large but uninteractive world. This game may have been good for it's time but it hasn't aged well at all. If you want a good GTA game go play San Andreas, IV and V. This game started the 3D open world genre but it really is just a stripped back version of what it is now. If you think I'm just hating on this game. Here's a couple of games that have aged well. DOOM (1, 2, Ultimate), Blood, Duke Nukem 3D, Diablo 2, Starcraft 1, Shadow Warrior Classic. Those are games with mechanics that still hold up well today.

If you're going to buy this game, buy it for the singleplayer only. If you're buying this game for the multiplayer you'll regret it. The singleplayer campaign is awesome and its open world even more so. There are tonnes of interesting side-missions that are actually fun to play and main story missions are your typical high-quality action packed scenarios you would only see in million dollar budget Hollywood movies. The amount of small details packed into the game world really immerses the player in a believable yet insane game world.

The multiplayer is simply horrible and it feels like a cheap mobile game with a triple A games presentation. Don't believe the trailers that show you in expensive cars and badass planes you will not get to that point unless you pour hundreds of hours into this game. The multiplayer is a grind and that's all there is to it. UNLESS, you buy sharkcards which can range from $30 to $100. This basically amounts to a multiplayer that is 100% pay-to-progress. You can play the multiplayer without paying a cent but there's no point when everyone else is flying around in jet planes and rocket bikes (without working for it) and of course modders are rampant in this game and Rockstar is not going to do anything about them any time soon. In fact, if a modder gives you money even if you don't want it YOU will be the one who is banned. That's right if you are given modded money the modder will not get banned but the person receiving it will get banned.

Extra things that are bad:
- The npcs in single player can be interacted with and they respond in hilarious ways but this mechanic wasn't transferred to the multiplayer because the player for some reason is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mute. Here's the reason the player is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mute, Rockstar is too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy to hire people to do the voices of the player. At least Saints Row had the decency of giving the player a voice even if it's very few options.
- The ai for enemy npcs are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ basic that it's obvious they're braindead savants that just aim for the player regardless of what kind of mission you are carrying out. Obviously the ai uses hitscan weapons but did they have to make it the cheapest kind of hitscanning ai? CoD gets flak for the hitscanning ai but that is why CoD has a regenerating heath system. Why couldn't Rockstar implement something simlar to the Max Payne series (HECK they developed Max Payne 3) where every bullet has a delay before hitting it's target it doesn't have to be Battlefields level of bullet physics but COME ON MAX PAYNE 1 DID IT OVER A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DECADE AGO! How come a game released in 2001 still has more deeper shooting mechanics than a game released in 2013?
-The grind for multiplayer is unbearable but I've heard that the grind is (some how) worse for Red Dead Redemption Online. I guess that's why sharkcards are there right? RIIIIIIIIIGHT??? ♥♥♥♥ you Rockstar ♥♥♥♥ you for insulting our intelligence.

One thing that the multiplayer actually does well:
-You can turn your brain off and grind for money with friends just talking and chilling out with them. Here's a good tip for new players search up solo public sessions on Google or check out the guides, you might find something that will help you out immensely if you are sick of getting oppressed in public sessions.

This game is good but I can't recommend a game that has such greedy devs. What happened Rockstar? You've done GTA IVs multiplayer so well but you downgraded it GTA Vs multiplayer. ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS REPLICATE THE SAME MECHANICS!

EDIT: A couple friends got the game to play GTA Online and I have to say playing with friends in this game is a must if you want to get the full experience of GTA Online. Vehicles that require multiple players to operate weapons, coordinating with friends in missions and heists, helping each other out with resupply and selling missions and just messing around the open world. Sadly, not everyone has a group of friends that are willing to stick it out for the massive grind that comes with playing this game and sadly that is the main gimmick that this online mode has to offer. Modders are still rampant as of June 2019 and Rockstar still haven't implemented a working anti-cheat system but at this point they'd probably implement an anti-cheat system that bans innocent players instead of the actual modders. So just be prepared to change servers when a cheater appears.

EDIT 2: The smaller Diamond Casino updates after the main Diamond Casino update has made the game extremely unstable and prone to crashing.

EDIT 3: Badly needs a wanted system and ai update. Wanted system is worse than the previous GTA games and the ai is just plainly embarrassing when compared to older games like the F.E.A.R. series. Gunplay is extremely basic and guns have barely any recoil. Feels like you're shooting toy guns. The Max Payne games and previously mentioned F.E.A.R. series are games created more than a decade ago and still have gunplay that is far superior to this game. R* needs to get their ♥♥♥♥ together because indie developers don't have the same kind of budget and are still making games that have 10 times the depth that this game has. Your game may be large and expansive but if you look a little closer it's all for show and the most of the map is just decorative backdrop you cannot interact with.

Criminally underrated game in a similar vein to the Left 4 Dead games.

I mean going by my $1 = 1 hour rule this game definately delivers and whilst playing through the main questline it was clear to me the 'story' that was told was just there just to keep the game moving. But then again quoting John Carmack "Story in a game is like a story in a porn movie. It's expected to be there, but it's not that important." I think the gameplay is where it's really important. Does it deliver on what is advertised? Yes! Not perfectly but all the important mechanics are there.

Ground combat feels like Assassin's Creed/Batman Arkham series. Maybe it's not as refined as those games but it's definately not broken. When you press the counter button you will counter, you press the dodge button you will roll out of the way and when you press the attack button Max's attacks will lock on to enemies if in range. Oh and you have a shotgun too. It feels very satisfying to blast an enemy in the middle of a combo.

Driving feels very nice. The vehicles feel like they have some weight to them. Although the vehicle combat feels a little off for me. Like when you ram into an enemy the damage feels very fixed and capped so you can't ram into an enemy at full speed and instantly blow them up. The upgrading system is very straight forward at first then later on some upgrades will make your car more durable but at the cost of some speed which I like having to think about what upgrades to take. I choose to be a speed demon with very little armour. Using my harpoon to strip the enemy's armour and wheels. The harpoon is broken btw making most enemy encounters fairly easy unless they have heavy armour which can only be broken by ramming into the enemy many times or shooting them with your shotgun. Aiming in the vehicle is easy because time is slowed to a crawl and the reticle will lock on to anything in range. Your vehicle also gets a sniper later on which is pretty useful for taking out sniper nests. Extra things like wheel spikes and flamethrowers attached to the sides of your vehicle also help in combat but I never really used them (in saying that they're still very good additions to your arsenal if you can use them effectively which I can't of course).

The survival aspect of Mad Max isn't really a big thing. The only things you collect are scrap (upgrades to Max's gear and his car), a canteen filled with water (used to regain health out of combat), gasoline to keep your vehicle topped off (you can store one fuel canister in the back of your vehicle). Hunger and thirst isn't a thing. Although I'm glad it isn't because I'd rather just not worry about that while playing. While holding a fuel canister in your hand you can't see the amount of fuel left inside so that's kind of annoying. You can see how much water you have inside your canteen at all times though so why??? Scrap is just a grind to get but it really is the only thing you're going to be looking out for while exploring the game world. Gasoline for your car is a joke espeacially after a couple of upgrades to Max (different from Max's gear, this is like upgrades to HP, damage resist, damage output, fuel comsumption, increases in scrap acculmulation, etc.)

The graphics of this game is pretty nice for 2015. It's no Metal Gear Solid V but it's passable. The atmospheric effects look great especially during a massive storm that randomly occurs every once in a while. It's dark, it's scary and there is scrap to be made by destroying random crates that only appear during these storms.

In short, Mad Max is NOT a story driven game and it's not a game for people looking for a deep RPG where the character will evolve or change drastically by the end of the campaign. It's a mindless sandbox game for people just looking for a scrap grinding game with decent AC/Batman Arkham combat and decent vehicle combat that really hasn't been done in another game. I don't see harpoons and flamethrowers on GTA V vehicles. I haven't seen a dystopic landscape as vast and desolate as this one. It truly is a sight to behold the endless stretches of sand and remanents of a fallen civilsation that looks so unfamiliar yet still hints at the more peaceful times before nuclear warfare turned planet into a wasteland.

Well I rambled on long enough. Buy this game when it's on sale and it'll be well worth your money. For Mad Max fans it is a must buy. You'll really feel like you're in the Mad Max universe.

Everything is great except for the massive boss battles like Kakuzu's 3rd stage and Itachi's Susanoo are absolute ♥♥♥♥ and don't belong in this game at all. The fighting gets repetitive already don't make it worse by having wannabe God of War big big boss fights. I'd rather just fight on the ground ninja vs ninja like its suppose to be. The QTEs are bad but much better than the ♥♥♥♥ "big" boss battles, they at least keep you on your feet while the "big" boss battles are often confusing and terribly telegraphed. When you have to google the boss battle to get past it you're doing something very wrong.

I don't play point-and-click/puzzle games often but this game blew me away. The art style was simplistic yet shows a lot of details in the environment especially when you use the game mechanic required to complete the game. I'm not going to say it here because the story is best discovered by the playing through it yourself. For $10 I believe it is worth it's price just for the story and art style alone. The voice acting and dialogue can be a bit cheesy to some people but I personally found it very entertaining. This game can be finished in around 3 hours or less, good for playing through in one sitting. There are also achievements that can be earned by playing through certain chapters again which can be selected through the main menu once you've completed the story.

Overall I give this game a 10/10. It's what you would expect from a point-and-click/puzzle game and bit more.

Under rated game that needs a sequel to complete it's trilogy.

Very hardcore, very unforgiving, absolutely infuriating at times. However, it is fair and all enemy attacks can be avoided at any level. The skill to dodge these attacks will be the massive factor to whether to progress or die in this game. This game does however suffer from the randomly generated syndrome and sometimes enemy spawns will be a bit packed in some areas and barren in others.
