Bad game overall, 2/10 wouldn't recommend.

Dragon Age Veilguard is a failed attempt to return DA series to mainstream, failing in the main things the series normally excelled at, dialogue and interaction between the characters.

Starting with the only good stuff the game have, the areas of the game i explored are beautiful and that's it. About the bad stuff, the game is poorly written, probably one of the worst writes i ever experienced in my life including video games, movies and books. Language and terms feel out of place for a high fantasy setting, characters talk with each other when they don't need to, feels like they are just shoving dialogue to us, the party feels like a bunch of teen with 0 charisma and you can't disagree with you companions (literally, even if you disagree with them through dialogue it's like that's okay and there is no major consequences). Combat is poor and repetitive, it feels great at the beginning but after 10 hours or so it starts getting bad, art design wasn't a problem to me at first, but now i see the other games are visually much better even being older.

Don't buy this game, i regret i didn't refund, if you want to play a fantasy game with a good writing go buy Metaphor, it's a niche game but it wins over DA:V in every single technical and creative aspect.

Amazing game with good potential, but it just have too many problems.

First: performance is ♥♥♥♥, framerate is bad even on the starting places of the game, wich have almost no NPCs. Also apparently low settings and high settings give no performance at all.

Second: game save file is single, same as first game, big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ of an idea. You can't even delete your savefile through a decent method, because devs don't give a ♥♥♥♥. Not being able to have multiple saves in a game with so much variety of gameplay is like throwing 80% of the money you spent in the trash, since most people won't want to invest in multiples jobs for a single character.

Third: microtransactions in a singleplayer game!

This game is possibly very good, but i think these little things i pointed are critical problems that shouldn't be on a game this big from this company. Besides performance, those problems are fixable, even though i don't think there will be a fix because they were just bad designed. Performance is probably the biggest issue tbh, hope the devs address the issues soon.
