this is one of those games where you will have to reset over and over and over and over because the game is NOT fair in any capacity but oh man if you like that its one of the best in the genre there is

I originally left a positive review enjoying the amplified difficulty of the game, but after getting past the initial areas, the game is straight-up disappointing given all the hype honestly. i love difficult games but this is probably the least satisfying "soulslike" ive ever played and it makes me really sad to say that after being so excited for this game hoping it would be an improvement on the questionable game design choices of hk. unfortunately, bosswalks and boring cheap tricks are abundant and any "accomplishment" i get from beating a boss or clearing an area merely feels like "oh thank god i dont have to play this part anymore" rather than actually overcoming an obstacle. crest system sucks once you get the best one because theres literally no reason to experiment or use anything different after the first 10 hours of gameplay. badge system sucks because so many of them are REQUIRED just reducing the slots you have to experiment with. to say something positive though, the art, soundtrack, and control scheme feels phenomenal. i think this game could be really really good if it just... had more time. team cherry seems to have rushed to get it out on time even after so many delays and i wish they delayed it another few years because it obviously really needs it. very excited for the dlc though!

my favorite open world game, theres too much good about this game to list in a review. would recommend purchasing during a big sale as the DLC is pretty much required for a satisfying ending. (trust me, you're GOING to want the dlc after finishing the main story LMAO)

its literally digital crack - i bought this game, installed, and immediately played for 6 hours. basically a constant gambling high simulator, with a good bit of strategy. i enjoy, you should really play this game.

After 88 hours:
stops being as fun after the dopamine highs wear off and then becomes violently unfun to get the last few unlocks due to the extreme amount of RNG. Absolutely HORRIFIC 100% experience, AMAZING first time experience, one of the best in any game ive played. I would recommend if you do not want to play ALL of the game whilst keeping your sanity. If youre into the torturous grind - its amazing for that and will keep you occupied for many many many many many, and i cannot exaggerate this enough, MANY hours.

It's easy to pick up and put down, and either very satisfying and relaxing or so frustrating it will make you bleed depending on what youre going for when you play.

The biggest glaring flaw in the game in my opinion is the "soul" card (0.3% chance of appearing in certain booster packs) that will give you one of five legendary jokers. However, almost every time that you get this card, you already have an established build and are far into the run - meaning that you will have to get rid of a card in your build. The problem with this comes with the fact that the legendary jokers are TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of them are extremely situational and end up just killing runs far more often than helping. Something so rare really should be actually powerful, rather than only being kiiiinda useful in hyperspecific scenarios since the odds of you being in that EXACT scenario and rolling that 0.3% then pulling the EXACT legendary joker you need is so low. The fact that a significantly lower rarity card (blueprint/brainstorm) is ubiquitously useful in ANY run whilst legendary jokers (reminder of the 0.3% pull rate - thats 1/400 roughly) are useless almost all of the time, should not be the case.

click the orbs, get dopamine from being able to click orbs better, rinse and repeat.

blizzard removed the PVE and non-microtransactional cosmetics, added the PVE back behind a paywall, and then revealed it was all planned out like a comical moustache twirling villain type ♥♥♥♥.

used to have regular updates and good content, now all new content is locked behind a paywall and is usually crappy. achievements are also locked behind a paywall. AND they had the audacity to raise the price after getting mostly negative reviews on all the dlc. it's a really fun game that i do enjoy playing but it's sad how scummy the developers are now.

SF6 was my first street fighter since I found my dads old SNES in the basement.

I had literally never touched a street fighter game in the past few years, and this game introduced me to the games mechanics wonderfully. I don't think I've ever seen a game be as approachable as SF6.

I really like competitive games, and SF6 does it better than any other game I've played. I've absolutely fallen in love with this game, and I can't recommend it enough. I could write research projects on why this game is good, but I'm not gonna do that here.

Perfect 10, one of my favorite games of all time in the first few days of playing.
