Well, this is exactly what I was hoping for after playing first game of the series for 170 hours. It is interesting, it is flexible and it forces you to adapt and be clever on Core or above difficulty settings. One thing I really do recommend - just as the first game, this one has a strong modding community. Embrace it. Find the things that really pissies you off and simply correct or compensate them with mods - you will absolutely enjoy the game that way.

update - well I spent some time playing this one, and i am still thinking of a new playthrough with a fresh DLC out. Amazing game.
