I bought Overwatch Origins edition on release and played the game all through its beta. And man it was a great ♥♥♥♥♥♥' game.

You could play it how you wanted and enjoy yourself in a team based pvp environment.

A one time purchase and optional micro transactions. The game had a great progression system rewarding you with loot boxes and free cosmetics on level up with seemingly no cap.

One of the best live service progression systems in a market satuarted by greed and pointless battle passes

Over time Overwatch would slowly take away bit by bit everything that made it so great, oh you want to play 6 of the same champions? Not anymore, what's that you dont want a status quo in terms of roles for norms and ranked? Ohh you don't want to wait 50 minutes for dps queue? Too bad.

At that point the game had already started to feel dead and pilfered by its need to force an esports out of thin air and I'd pretty much lost all interest in the game. But I'd come back to see how awful it was getting every now and then.

Fast forward to Overwatch 2 jesus christ who thought blizzard could ruin the game even more?

First of all the progression is gone, no more levels no more free cosmetics and nothing for those who owned the original game

Second they introduce a battle pass, lock champions behind it and charge 1k credits to unlock champs or spend an absurd amount of time getting 35 wins per champ unlock

Third push maps are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful

Fourth Blizzard has no clue how to balance their own game and complain about it

Fith the game has no soul, no medals no progression any sense of actual satisfaction from the game is gone, just queue up and keep playing you dirty pay pig.

At the end of the day the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful and you're financing a company of womaniser and sexual deviants that need to be locked up.
