The best hero shooter released since Monday Night Combat (or TF2 if you want to include that). There is pretty much a character for everyone in this game without relying on pandering to the annoying people who want to play low effort "I win" playstyles. There are "accessibility characters" but their power is limited to compensate for the inherent consistency they provide. This game is great to play with friends of all skill levels due to it's focus on engaging kits over simply letting players trade kills. I love that this game is focused on creating a fun sandbox through a wide array of character interactions. There are also no 500% EHP Overwatch characters rolling around the map, no brainless shotgun rushing trades, and no ridiculously strong aim assist settings. It's not pretending to be anything it's not. It is a "fun first" game with good gameplay, interesting character designs, and complimentary story elements that actually feel like they belong.

This goes for all games of this format, but I would not play this alone. Playing with at least one friend will considerably improve your experience. Between engagement based matchmaking, crossplay, and the locked-in "match" style quickplay lobbies, games like this expect you to carry casual players and will match you with 5 people with no understanding of what is happening around them if you let it. The game does actually try to alleviate this by quietly placing those players in AI bot matches after they lose too many times, but you'll eventually be stuck babysitting at some point or another. The more people you bring, the better the game will be. Like I said before, they can be any skill level as long as you enjoy working together. If you find yourself wanting to play while all of your friends are offline then you can use the FFA TDM mode called "conquest" or queue for coop matches vs bots to tide you over until you can schedule some good friend-team sessions.
