Persona 3 Reload - The remake that stole all of my tears and soul

The story:

When I watch the game credit roll I burst into tears, the game did a very good for doing this. Persona 3 Reload main theme is about the losses in our lives, how we face and get over it, this portrayed in the game by every character back stories, they all have lost their beloved ones but the journeys they faced and overcame is so beautiful. These messages are portrayed very good in every Social Links stories from a smalll things like Maya lost her favorite MMO - the game which help her escape reality, Bunkichi and Mitsuko lost the persimmon tree - the tree their son planted before he passed away to the bigger thing like how Yukari and Mitsuru faced the missing appearances of their parents in lives. I enjoy spending every moments with them (except Kanji and Suemitsu, they are just kinda annoying) , those are one of the best social link in the entire Persona games, my top 5 favorite is Aigis,Tanaka, Mitsuru, Akinari and Maya.

And the main story, holy hell the main story is so good with all the twist. I gotta admit I stopped playing Persona 3 for a short time because in the early the game story progress slowly but soon after rescuing ♥♥♥♥♥ , the game spin quite hard with twists after twists, I enjoyed so much all of the detail of the story. Although there are something I don't really like is the how the game introduce new member of S.E.E.S like Junpei, Ken and Kokomaru (my good boy), Akihiko and Ikutsuki just kinda throw them into our dorm, we didn't have any chance to like recruit them to the team by ourselves . I think if that happened it will give us a better impression and attachment. If we remove Kokomaru from the game, the story will stay as if, but Kokomaru role in this game help balance it heavy's atmosphere of grieves and losses, Kokomaru is one hell of a good boy and it hurt me so much to think that he will stay lonely after the end of P3 ending.

The combat gameplay:
- Persona 3 Reload took a lot of inspiration from Persona 5 Royal gameplay and balance it perfectly. Sometimes I think that P5R gameplay mechanic kinda overwhelm me a bit, P5R have showtime while P3R introduced Theurgy mechanic, this ultimate like mechanic is one of the best thing happened in the gameplay. The refill mechanic isnt fast or slow, easy to control and more realiable than P5R's Showtime. Not only that, the shuffle time mechanic in Tartarus dungeon is super addictive, it make me want to stay longer for farming, speak of farming , I don't think P3R are realible much on farming despite of being a JRPG game. In conclusion if you enjoy P5R then you will definitely like P3R gameplay.

The Media:
- Starting with the theme, UI , this game also took an inspiration from P5R and make it own a new one that is very aesthetic, beautiful, modern but still keep it spirit from Persona 3 FES. The blue theme - the artstyle of the game fit it's vibe so much.
- Music: the best part of every Persona game, I can even judge a Persona game score just for it's music. While P5R's ost theme is surrounded by a theme of classy, jazz and Persona 4 Golden is J-Pop and J-Rock, the theme of P3R is Hiphop and RNB . Lotus Juice and Azumi Takahashi's Vocals did a very very good job here, first time seeing Lotus Juice sing a normal melody, so beautiful, he is still our reliable rapper .In the original game, his voice is kinda quieter than the bgm, glad that the improved this in Reload verison. Azumi Takahashi is the new vocal of the game , I really welcome her here, I have no trouble of hearing her singing, her voice is also beautiful. Atsushi Kitajoh is the main composer of the game, he took the responsibility instead of Shoji Meguro the goat of music composer, I also very welcome this change, he used to do some of persona work in past time, hot take but I prefer his "Mass Destruction", "When The Moon Reaching Out The Star" more than Meguro sensei. "Color Your Night" is the best soundtrack of the entire Persona series that I ever heard!!!

In conclusion this game is such a gem in an era of saturated video game industry. Persona 3 Reload stand out as the saviour of 2024 gaming year

10/10 truly a masterpiece
