2024 Edit: Now the situation is even worse, i dare you to play killer and have fun. Every game you are forced to play at Ormond, Eyrie or Rpd cause perma map offering, you must bring the Sacrifical Ward or a map offering as well (with the hope you'll win the 50/50) everytime or deal with the fact that you are prolly going to play only 3 maps for about 7 games out of 10 (which is boring af, also cause those maps are poorly and badly designed).
There is no more a mid way, either you stomp the survs or you get stomped. Matches are super quick both ways and not fun at all.
OG killers such as Myers, the Pig, Freddy, and basically every old M1 killer are unplayable cause the game did evolve in a certain way which is not complementary to that typology of killers anymore, but the Devs dont play their game and they cant realize it since they look the stats such as KDA between ALL matches (50% + from casual players with less than 100h) where Pig has the second higher KDA (61% KDA) so they think everything is cool, Pig still dope.
Its funny how much they did nerf Gen Regression perks during time and killers still run those in every decent build cause they dont have a valid option. Playing something else is not rewarding and if survs have same IQ of a dolphin they will do 3-4 gens anyway even if they loop like bricks and they have no idea of what their are doing if you aree not tunneling hard.
From the other side Surv can rely on good anti tunneling perks, good healing perks, good gen speed perks and good background players perks. You can basically play whatever you want and it will work.
Every patch note is a random twist, it feels almost like the Devs dont know what to do, and instead of thinking about in game problems they just do some random changes to see how people would react to those, so they can have a feedback. The only thing they care about is that you buy their egirl ebunny half naked woke skins afterall.
I wont even start to talk about SBMM, which is ridiculous. Clearly it does not work at all, it would be a big laugh if they just made that damned number visible to everyone. But they will never do it because they are monkeys trying to fix an algorithm with bananas instead of with their brains.
