Genuinely a fantastic game. I had been looking for a metroidvania that rivaled the gameplay of Aria of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin. This game ticks just about all the boxes, it plays fantastically! I've only encountered a single bug so far in truth, and not even game breaking. Combat is alot of fun, my only criticism being that spears should not have the same moveset as the swords, those should have been unique thrusting animations like other castlevania games. I honestly bought the game without looking at the 18+ content warnings, I found a fantastic game despite that. The dodge /backdash mechanic is forgiving and interesting, very much akin to Bayonetta's witch time when performing perfect dodges there. There is in fact a setting to disable NSFW content for streaming or those who aren't interested in 18+ content. Regardless of your orientation this is a true castlevania experience gameplay wise, the characters are also charming and alot of fun. Majority of the game is fully voiced, only in Japanese but still fully voiced. Even the 18+ content is very high quality, and good to my surprise. I can't recommend the game enough for those that enjoy Castlevania combat, the leveling, farming for items from enemies, and the secrets! I excitedly look forward towards more content from these developers, whether it be dlc or another game! As of writing this I am not yet done with the game, but fully intend to 100% it.



EDIT: I've since beaten the game, done all the replayable bosses without getting hit as well. Game was excellent! I've also 100% the map and I believe all the items as well. Achievements are all done. I tried one of the different save name mode that was interesting. Off to New Game+!
