90% of people who buy Arma 2 buy it to play DayZ and never actually get into the core game. Honestly, it is awesome. While I personally don't enjoy the campaign and pre-made missions, I absolutely love the mission editor. It is the coolest thing; it basically gives you the ability to construct small battles all-the-way-to large wars. I have played it for hours, creating missions and stories to my liking. If want a game that is largely customizable, I highly recommend Arma 2... also, DayZ is pretty awesome (standalone is out, get it if you haven't).

This game can be described in one word, "AMAZING!" The gameplay is incredible, and the story even better. The game also features Vaas, the coolest, most messed-up villian ever. I cannot recommend Far Cry 3 enough. If you want a great game that is worth every cent, get Far Cry 3!
