As much as I love playing as a privileged British imperialist homogenizing local cultures, I really can't see any reason to recommend this game over any of the other AAA titles that have come out in the last 3 years. The story isn't well developed and feels like an outline before they put in important details. Sound design is good in some places, but horrible in others like the weapons. Music wasn't anything special until the ending credits, that song was amazing. The world isn't quite believable at some parts.
Puzzle design was good though, you could generally figure out what you were supposed to do and sometimes it even felt gratifying. Except when you get to the story parts that expect you to have intimate religious knowledge such as the stations of the cross.
It's occasionally a fun game, I enjoyed some parts of it, but with the other options you have available there's no need to play this.
