Fun game but could have been better if more effort was put into the horror

All the people who say this game crashes or breaks constantly are WRONG

I only get gamebreaking glitches and crashes one or two or three times per gameplay session

A few places feel annoying but game has aged very well and is still worth a playthrough.
Although I give a thumbs up for the game itself, this port is somewhat buggy and has slowdown issues but nothing too major.

7.5/10 for the game
5/10 for the port

not bad but a good example of why battle royale games work better in 3d

Really fun battle-royale style game that blends more typical resource hunting mechanics with Mario Kart driving and limited communication. It's really fun to play with randos and work together to grab the rose at the end of the road.

Sadly the content is lacking and after a few hours it starts to lose its charm. There are also a few bugs and annoyances that hindered my gameplay. I wouldn't recommend this game for full price unless the devs can smooth out the kinks and add extra content.

A few other nitpicks I have are:
-grass slows you down way too quickly
-ghosts (dead players that can be revived by teammates) can collide with you causing cheap deaths
-no achievements (I know a game doesn't need them but its a motivation to keep playing)
-the road doesn't have much variation in scenery and thus gets repetitive

Overall the game is fun for a couple hours and could be even better with continued developer support (sadly they have no plans for updates though.)

Farming is epic

Game has nice sprites and is well made, but lacks content.

You unlock every item in the first 1/4 of the game which makes getting to level 100 boring
Plantera lacks what most idle games have: rebirth, premium currencies (obtained from rebirth or otherwise), or buyable upgrades (minus the offline time and multiplier upgrade)

I do recommend it for the great art direction and relative cheapness (although I suggest waiting for a sale)

overall its a solid 7/10 game you can get a few hours of gameplay out of

very sensitive controls + tight areas + a ton of bullets and planes coming toward you + large hitbox = fun

Originally had this game on my 3ds (yes it was a nightmare to control)
Also despite being called "HD" the models are quite low res. The only thing they seem to have done is cel shade the models. But if you can ignore the ugly models the game is actually quite fun.
There are 8 missions (plus 1 tutorial), very linear missions and no open world.

On a scale of arcade to simulation this is much closer to arcade, so if you are looking for a highly in depth firefighting simulator this is sadly not it. This game focuses on action and the members of your crew (there are no dialog options or different scenarios outside of failure afaik)

If collectibles are your thing then this game has a couple.
Hidden (and sometimes not so much) throughout the levels are 3 medals that reveal a picture of what caused each fire.
The other collectible is gear skins. There are 3 or 4 series of gear skins that you can apply to your firefighting tools and clothes.
Most collectibles can be found with a little exploration but a couple are VERY well hidden.

Also I must warn achievement hunters that a few achievements are currently broken as of writing this review. If you only want the game for that then I can't recommend. The circular saw ingame is also buggy but you only have to use that a few times (it was buggy in the 3ds port as well)


Overall the game is fun, but not without problems
Price is also good imo

And that's why I'm giving it a 6.5/10
