I gave the game a chance and it just didn't deliver..

The game has a lot of problems I'd like to go over~

The Physics:
the physics engine the game currently uses is very annoying. Its one of the dreaded floaty ones.

The Tutorial (or lack thereof):
a game like this needs a proper tutorial. Currently the game has a button that just loads a youtube video in your primary browser. It wouldn't be a problem if it was in early access or a more straightforward game but this game is quite different from most. Not sure if it was just me, but I had difficulty just finding my shovel (or maybe it didn't load in my first game? I'm unsure.) I'm sure without a tutorial you would figure it out eventually but it would take some time.

The Lack of Information: Picking up an item gives you a brief explanation of what it does. Many times this doesn't give you enough information though. Want to know what crafting recipes there are? tuff luck. Want to know if melting your ore into a bar yields more money? who knows?

Glitches/Bugs/Annoyances: I haven't experienced many annoyances outside of the physics engine but I have found one or two. When moving my mouse the cursor shows in the top right. Not game breaking but it's there.

It has promise but is lacking.
Overall I give the game credit for trying something different but in it's current state I wouldn't recommend

Great BR game that outdoes many br games it competes with
The ping system is great
The movement feels good
You have many movement options
Very balanced for a br game

But it has some negatives as well:
some smaller annoying glitches, some of them have been in the game for months
The game is balanced around teams so solo play is almost impossible to implement
Ranked becomes unfun when it matches you with 2 level higher opponents in later ranks

But overall I would suggest you try it and see if you like it.

They have figured out how to exploit capitalism to their advantage

Its been said a million times but its a great game. I would personally say it's the best indie game of all time.
It has a very unique take on the rpg genre and games as a whole.


Pros:
Fun gameplay
Interesting story
Unique experience
Good character design
Likable characters

Cons:
Relatively short gameplay
It ends

While this is a free game and it's expected to be lower in quality, there is quite a bit to criticize here.

Graphics:
Visuals in this game are quite basic and bland. This is forgivable to a degree but when the hand models you're going to be seeing the entire time you play are static 90% of the time it becomes a more noticeable problem.
Some areas are much too dark and could benefit from more lighting. Also the spoon animation has to be one of the worst animations I've ever seen.

Enemies:
Enemy models suffer from the "cheap unreal game" effect that other low budget Unreal games have, but they aren't the worst models I've seen. Animation on the models is quite lackluster but passable.
The real stinger is the enemy ai, which is some of the poorest ai I've seen outside of no budget cashgrab phone games. Sometimes the enemies just get stuck in a corner, other times they just aren't mapped properly and you can stand right in front of them and they don't move.
Another big enemy problem is that most of them don't feel threatening. The ones that can shoot or fly fast are actually a threat, but the basic enemies are much too easy.

Map Design:
The maps in this game aren't horrid but they leave much to be desired. Got stumped on the 2nd level for where I was supposed to go but after a bit of searching I found you had to jump to an isolated door from a neighboring door.
Not much else to say here, it's just rather bland.

UI/Options/Etc:
I've seen several other reviewers bash the obtrusive ui but it doesn't bother me that much (although an option to remove the border would be appreciated.) What is painful is that the different weapons don't display different names so it can be a bit confusing on what you're using, but the weapon model usually can tell you enough.

The lack of customizable controls (or even a list of controls) is quite annoying and a huge oversight on the devs' end. I imagine a good amount of people had trouble figuring out how to open the first door because it didn't even tell them 'E' is the interact button, and they have no way of finding the controls in the options menu.

The fact that each character has nothing special about them other then models/beginning cutscene/voice lines is a missed opportunity to have each character have some kind of special ability (perhaps one could have more health but lower speed.)

The effect when you take damage is barely noticeable and should be a little more obvious.


Conclusion: The game is not very good and misses the doom vibe the original had. The only positive thing I can think to say about the game is that it's a passable way to kill a couple hours. Overall I would give it a 2/10, much better free ways to entertain yourself that also don't shove marketing down your throat.

Goat of Duty is a tongue in cheek 3rd person shooter that, while fun, has quite a few issues.

Pros:
Fun gameplay
Stupid costumes
Fairly balanced and interesting weapons
Goats

Cons:
The fov seems a bit too zoomed in
Spawn locations are in some bad locations (multiple spawns close together/in line of action)
Movement feels a little stiff
No team modes/voicechat
Some maps feel a bit congested for player numbers
Customization is a bit limited


All in all its a load of dumb fun that can feel frustrating sometimes, and I imagine most of the cons I list will have been fixed when the game goes full release.
If you're the kind of person that loves goofy games or less serious shooters then you will have fun with this.

I wouldn't spend my pocket change on this

You can't date the dog

Classic tower defense that still holds up today.
Has a few quirks and noticeable age, but nothing bad enough to justify not getting it.
Also don't forget to spam cattails.

Cute little game. Pretty easy and only about 20-30 minutes of gameplay, but fun nonetheless.
