I have replayed this game well over 30 times, bought it 3 times on different consoles, and enjoyed every moment of the 300+ hours I've put into it. The replay value for this game is that high. What started out as a project one man worked on in his free time has become possibly the most well known and critically acclaimed indie games of all time, as well as one of my personal favorite games of all time, and Nicalis' remake of it makes it all the better. Between the fun gameplay, colorful characters, great story, the astounding HD remake graphics for a game that uses 16 bit sprites and arguably the best part of the game, the remastered soundtrack, Cave Story is truly the king of indie games, and is perfect in every way imaginable.
