This is my third time playing this one, the game has become my favorite soulslike. Matching and sometimes toping from software's work.

The developers not only willingness to add stuff to the worst ever named sub-genre of video games, but also ability in doing so is simply unmatched!
The combining weapons system is simply amazing, the fact that you can get one weapons reach with another ones blade, while the handle carries its moveset and the blade carries its special move is incredible and creates so many possibilities for you to develop your builds, making the weapon variety look 3 times bigger than it is while doing so.
All of that with the unique take on the hollow knight type recharge of your heal tha they did, everything thus game brings to the table is just superb!
Not to mention the creativity when it comes to its boss fights. For the longest time now I've been so tired of the same old "guy with a sword" type of boss fight. Ever since the duo in ds1 and specially artorias it seems from's work and their competitors are stuck into making most of their bosses and specially the most iconic ones always with this same "guy with armor and a sword" trope and its become so tiring to me, it makes it so thrilling seeing what these developers cooked for us in some of the best boss fights I've ever faced!
You should definitely check out this game if you haven't, specially if you love Miyazaki's games.

Elden Ring represents a shift in from software's style, leaning more and more in what they started doing from 2015 onwards, with a huge open world thats like a cherry on top. Let me first say how much I love this game, I love exploring it for the first time, fighting the new bosses (mostly) for the first time, getting tô know this world for the first time, but thats ir. The first time.
I truly believe this game benefits heavily from a blind playthrough simoly because of how much it awes you, but theres just so much bloat, so much useless ♥♥♥♥ in your way that it makes every subsequent playthrough of this game dull. Which is a big downside for a from soft game! They're used to taking is deep into those worlds they create and keeping us there, going back over and over and over again, without anyone getting tired of it. But when most of your content is so repetitive padding it makes it so frustrating.
If you're looking however for a good challenge, one of the most exciting open worlds, epic boss fights and the best combat system ever put in a open world game this one's for you, and everyone should definitely check it out, cause tbh the goods outweigh the negatives in this game's case BY A LONG MARGIN, but I still need to talk about them, since I feel like they've been left behind and ignored.
The boss designs in this game are also a downside for me in a few cases, but I'm happy yo say they fixed It in the dlc (except for 2 of them)
But when this game hits a jackpot (and it does it a lot) it REALLY hits a jackpot. I just hope from soft listens to this and other criticism that has been going around to make even better games in the future.

I have played this game more on my switch than here, but I felt comoeled to recomend it anyway.
I believe most people interested k. The game already know how pretty It looks, but trust me, you haven't seen it moving by your own hands yet.
This game's animations are simply stunning! And it has one of the most nice feeling combats I've seen on one of those indie metroidvanias. Definitely check it out!

If you haven't played it, play it. It is indeed, as simple as that.

Hollow knight is not only my favorite game of all time for my own experiences, but it is also a great game overall. And if you like metroidvanias you should play it, and if you don't, like I didn't, maybe it's your chance to start just like me!
Maybe you end up falling in love like I did.

The mechanics of this game are so solid, the combat is so engaging, the exploration an not only yhe non-linearity in itself, but just how team cherry handled it, amazing. But the cherry on top (pun inteded) is the movement in this game. Slick. Precise. And 117% in your hands! Ypi just have SO much output on how your character moves every second he's on screen.

I could go on about the gameplay, the lore, the storytelling, the way it makes me feel, the designer the design..... But so much has already been said about it, if you haven't been convinced to play it yet idk what will. But you definitely should!
