DO NOT BUY!!!
The PC port of the game has disgusting performance issues. I can run GTA 5 on max settings no problem, but this game stutters so hard even on medium settings. I have tried everything, there are many forums and youtube videos trying to get this game to work for people, which is already a red flag, why would we need to go into the games files and adjust things and change ini settings just to run the game properly?! And even once I have done EVERYTHING that I have found online to make the game smooth, there is just disgusting stuttering that you won't be able to get rid of. You will spend HOURS trying to make the game run OK but it won't.

Rockstar has forgotten about the existence of this game and they could fix it with one update but they won't because there is no online microtransaction money. This should be taken off the steam store until it's actually playable on PC.

Had a simmilar issue with AC Black flag, try downloading process lasso and disabling SMT/HT, games from this time period have a hard time dealing with more than 4 or respectively 8 CPUs

I can run GTA 5 MAX Everything in 1080P and 4K Near Max and it doesn't ever shutter like GTA 4 does. This game should be in some kind of lawsuit just like cyberpunk 2077 was.

did you check GTA 4 gpu memory usage at option? like me, it lock on 512MB maximum. so you need to change the gpu memory usage to as your actual gpu memory

this video fix my problem: https://youtu.be/zGLXGVFT_Rg

@thekebabman you may want to update your drivers, GPU, CPU, Motherboard, update everything. Because on ultra settings I can get very playable non-stuttering frames in gta 5, usually between 35-50 depending on the scene. On AC Valhalla I'm getting pretty much solid 60 FPS with ultra settings
