The melee and shotgun are for cqc (close quarters combat). The closer u are the more dmg the shotgun does. But people just bi-tch about hit reg and hit boxes which is why they don't melee actually they are just 2 scared to use it even if there is 1 guy at low hp AND they are at full overheal. Why would you equip a melee weapon if ur not going to use it (by use it i mean use it as a weapon not just the alt fire e.g. the sandman). Because 99% of the time i try to melee i get pipe, sticky, rocket spammed, meatshot, headshot, wm1d because people don't understand the concept of melee.
