People compare this game to CS1 and judge it for missing features, which makes the game bad to them. However this game is pretty different from CS1 and I actually quite enjoy it, particularly the massive scale of the city you eventually achieve.

things that should be improved from a game design point of view:
- specialized industry should be reworked to be part of the tech tree
- UI needs improvements, basic things like search, filtering / faceting, sorting, favorites, etc.
- the simulation of the game is completely opaque to the player, this may be by design, but certainly it would be more interesting to have insight into how your decisions cascade to affect the simulation without having to wait to see it, maybe something like a research gameplay element where you try to predict the effects of policy changes or something
- little things here and there but mostly fine, game just needs to become more mature and accrue content

Main reason I cannot recommend the game: extreme performance issues. After reaching a population of about 150k, I could not actually reach the endgame because the simulation could not run for longer than 5 minutes without crashing my entire PC. Up to that point the game would still crash - rarely in the beginning and increasingly often as the city became more massive and the complexity of the simulation increased. Most predictably the game crashes when relocating buildings.

- intel core i9 13900k
- 32gb ddr5 memory
- 2tb nvme ssd
- rtx 3090

so yeah there's virtually no reason this game should crash, yet I observed it somehow running out of texture memory (24gb of memory on the 3090)
