Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is the first game to successfully tell a story within the video game genre. It is more an experience rather than a game. It is the most emotionally charged game to an extent where it doesn't overstay it's welcome. Brothers operates with a beautifully spare efficiency in every aspect of its narrative and design, propelling you through a striking storybook landscape in which gameplay mechanics and thematic storytelling thread together more tightly than most games can manage. The resulting journey is so singularly devoted to creating a specific tone and atmosphere that you won't likely be able to stop thinking about it until long after you've seen it through to the end. And it surprisingly excels at this without saying a single word and without forcing anything upon you. It is really understandable that it would be the Game of the Year and is already a personal choice of famous youtubers. It is clearly my Game of the Year. Dont't watch it, play it. This game will impact you in a way that no other game ever did. Lock your door, plug in your controller and start Brothers. Play it in one sitting, it is a 2 and half to 3 hour journey. I could go on and on about this game but I cannot put it all in words. It is an unforgettable experience. I definitely reccommend it. :)
