hey, thats me!

In a storming night I lay clinging to a piece of driftwood. A fragment of my once great vessel that I had conquered seaport strongholds with, separating me from my watery doom. The depths called to me and my weary body ached to succumb to my final resting place that surely lay somewhere below. I began to hear melodious singing. As my eyes wandered the horizon, I noticed what appeared to be a beautiful woman. She sang to me. Called me to join her. As I reached for her embrace her form shifted to that of a ghastly sea serpent. My heart sank as I knew I’d fallen prey to the siren’s song. Then, suddenly the sky opened. A chariot of fire appeared, and a tall dark figure commanded its reigns. It was Minerva. She was clad in armor so bright it burned my skin. In her hand, high above her head, she wielded a blade drenched in flame. In one motion she relieved the wicked siren from her head and retrieved me from the sea. Without Minerva, this story would have been lost to the abyss.
