Wizard 101 is a classic. Play the game in old graphics, get 1-2 friends to play with you. Don't play Balance or Myth, it's really a great game. After about maybe 2 hours of gameplay you're hit with a paywall, it's worth it. Don't think of it as monetizing the game... Think of it as paying for the game, you could pay like 180 dollars flat, or pay 10 dollars a month. Ofc it isn't perfect but it's really worth it. Other than that I really don't recommend spending crowns unless you're stitching clothes, or buying a mount that you REALLY like (1 day mounts are sold for gold) but generally it's best not to spend crowns.
