Graphically a very beautiful game, voice acting and mocap are both amazing, I mean Roger Clark and Troy Baker, enough said. Julia Brown was also fantastic. The story is solid, though a little confusing towards the end. It's left open to the players perspective and detective work to decide whether or not what to believe. This game is much more a playable movie, than an actual game(unless you want to count a walking simulator(although it makes sense for the story), virtually zero combat, heavy in quick time events, unfortunately zero replay-ability. Has the same tried and true "find notes and video/audio recordings to piece together the story" mechanics. Although it's fairly short and a little tedious it's still a masterful game. Definitely not for everyone. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd get it on sale, if possible, I heard it was short and a little mixed story wise which is why I waited for the summer sale to pick it up. I feel it was worth what I paid.

Have been playing since early access opened on the 31st. Received a Premium edition key from ordering an AMD processor for a build I did for a friend.

It's an incredible game, with very minimal bugs and issues especially compared to past Bethesda titles. While minimal there are still some it's not perfect.

I have 47 hours in(at the time of writing this) and feel as though I've barely scratched the surface. Tons of content and things to do. I highly recommend the UC Vanguard storyline right away. The faction storylines are amazing, and I've been prioritizing those over the main story missions so far and yep, 47 hours in at the time of writing and I've barely done any of the main story, what I have done of it has been pretty great too. Story wise the game is a home run.

The gameplay missions are fun and satisfying although some missions can feel a little repetitive, mainly the artifact and temple missions for the main story you'll know when you get to it. While some have different elements and things that can happen the bog standard "travel to this planet and grab the artifact" missions just feel kind of bland after the first few.

Bugs while minimal and not necessarily game breaking have been fine for the most part besides one in particular where the npc that you need to converse with to proceed with a mission just slowly floats away into space through walls and ceilings like it's no clipping during the rapture. Causing me to have to load my last game save to attempt to fix it, sometimes having to reload multiple times, it's happened three times in my almost 50 hours at the time of writing this. Haven't had any crashes or anything majorly game breaking otherwise.

Another slight issue is the in-game explanations of systems in the game. The tutorial pop ups have been pretty few and far between not to mention limited in both clearness of explanation but also amount that is explained. For instance the crafting, researching, and base building while similar to Fallout 4 and myself having hundreds of hours of base building in it was difficult to figure out and learn, and the pop up tutorials and hints/guides are garbage, I ended up having to watch a video and still came out confused. And that's a problem for more stuff, even being a Bethesda Veteran there is stuff that just doesn't translate, and isn't really explained how it works all that well in game. Ship customization is in the same boat.

The graphics are alright nothing blow your socks off crazy(except certain visuals I don't want to spoil and some planets are just absolutely gorgeous), it's just a beautiful game and it definitely doesn't look dated or bad, especially with it on max settings. It runs great on my rig, as most games do(13900k, RTX 4090, 64GB Ram) at max settings, native resolution and no upscaling on a 1440p 165hz monitor. It's smooth as butter. But the general consensus is that it runs smoothly most plus there are already plenty of mods that help.

The shooting mechanics and physics while in zero G are pretty titties, the combat feels like a refined version of Fallout 4's, the ship combat is pretty good, and the controls are a lot better than I was thinking they were going to be. More of a dumb downed Star Citizen and in a good way. Combat in general is just pretty good, the ragdolls on the AI are pretty solid and realistic, although some enemies can be pretty spongey.

Some other issues I have had but haven't really been a big deal are the lack of a brightness slider in-game or during setup, also a lack of exclusive or even regular fullscreen and no FOV slider. Although these were fixed with mods, as were a few of the other issues I mentioned.

There is also an issue where I put armor and weapons on display in the armory of my home ship, but after editing the ship found them to all be gone, supposedly they are supposed to go into your cargo hold but if it's full it just deletes whatever won't fit. So I lost not only some legendary one per playthrough items, I also lost all of the resources and ship parts I had stored. Just something to keep in mind as well, if you find a ship that has one or are building an armory or display room into your ship for gear.

Another problem I and some others had was after hitting tilde key and opening the dev console, regardless of if you even typed in a command achievements would become disabled. You're technically supposed to be able to use some commands without it disabling them, let alone just opening the console shouldn't disable it but for some users it has so be careful. I accidentally hit tilde and afterwards I wasn't getting achievements, even though I didn't even input a command. I didn't get achievements for a good 10 hours of gameplay until I did the Allow Achievements mod. Definitely something that needs to get looked into.

Another positive is the mod support, the game wasn't even out into early access for a day before we saw all kinds of mods, at this rate I think it's going to surpass even OG skyrim in terms of created mods.

The future of this game is beautiful, and it's been in the best launch state for a highly anticipated AAA title in the last couple years IMO. While there are some bugs, it in no way feels rushed like a lot other games these days.

If you want an in depth video review there is none better than ACG on YouTube.

This game is kind of a mixed bag for me. Mainly because most of my "issues" with it can be fixed. This is an early access game after all and I plan to replay and re-review it at full release.

Graphically it's very pretty, good textures and animations. It's absolutely gorgeous. However, it would benefit heavily from RT lighting and shadows. The lighting in the game is really just okay.

The audio is great when it's not absolutely destroying your ears with some of the weather or enemy sounds. For the most part it's very consistent but some sounds such as waterfalls, ferals screaming at you when you run past, and wind/lightning play at 100% volume no matter what audio settings you have setup. The sound when opening the inventory is also very loud.

The seasons and weather systems are pretty cool, although I do feel like they change a little too quickly, it feels like you have zero time at all in between Day 1 to Winter, which I believe is usually Day 6 when you start in Normal mode.

The combat is alright, it's the same as the first game, the addition of guns is a welcomed change however, the animations and the way the character holds and runs with them could use some work. Melee combat is the same as the first game, not very different nor worse than the original.

Now for my main issues with the game.

Missing OG features: For some reason the game is missing items and features from the original, like the Log Sled. I know you probably see it all over the reviews but seriously, plus a lot of the blueprints for building are missing as well. The custom building is nice and all but really?

Guns: While they are a great addition, I feel they are not only too easy to get but just way too OP(the shotgun in particular), once you get the Shotgun it's game over for any enemy type really. Which while realistic would be better coupled with not as much ammo for it, there is shotgun ammo literally everywhere. The pistol is a bit more balanced. But the shotgun definitely needs some work. I'm sure playing for longer time in the game and surviving longer allows for harder more difficult enemies however, with how the game is set up story wise right now you don't really get to that point.

Map markers/Story: Don't get me wrong, the story is good, the same quality essentially as the original with some twists and turns. It's done in the same way as before where discovering different locations progresses the story towards the endgame. However, unlike the first forest where you have to play and explore to find the locations, this time around they decided to mark everything on the GPS, it makes the games story insanely easy to blow through. I get the GPS trackers for the team members and some more important locations but the map markers for the story locations too? It's a survival game but with the way the gameplay loop is configured now you don't even need to setup a base or survive for more than a few days to finish it. Basically making the survival mechanics and seasons absolutely pointless. If you milk the base building and exploration for finding the items before doing the story markers you can definitely get more out of it but the average playtime for most groups I know and our own was about 10 hours give or take to finish the story and hit endgame. That's even with base building and eploring mixed in. I think they need to re-configure it, with how quickly you can finish it, it just doesn't feel great, it's honestly pretty disappointing.

I'd still recommend the game, for the price it's well worth it, but I just hope that the community feedback is heard and they can improve these issues.

I flarking love this game! Best game I have played this year. Or maybe even the last couple of years. The visuals(graphics and environments) are just absolutely stunning. The story is phenomenal, it's funny, downright hilarious in parts, all the while also being serious and emotional. Its very engaging and kept me interest my whole playthrough. The voice acting is top tier, and the facial animations are incredible, some of if not the best facial animations I've seen in a video game. The sound design is great, though can be buggy in spots. i.e. dialog cutting out because you enter a scripted dialog scene or occasionally the sound is coming from the opposite direction of where the character speaking is. The combat is fine, nothing too crazy, Star Lord's guns are absolutely useless until you upgrade them and unlock their elemental shots. It does help you get accustomed to using your teammates and actually using strategy to win fights. Some of the enemies are very bullet spongey. Funnily enough rocket also calls the enemies bullet sponges in combat in one fight so that made me chuckle a bit. There are Easter eggs galore in this game from what you can see in the collectors emporium to the criminal files stored on the nova corps computers, and also the miscellaneous holo journals you find lying around. The outfits are cool, although can sometimes be very easily missed. Performance wise the game ran fantastic for me, granted I am running an i9-9900k, 32gb ram, and RTX 3090 in my rig. Playing on max settings with Ray Tracing on ultra and DLSS off at 1440p I don't think I even dropped below 100fps and it was overall very smooth. I had two hard crashes one where the game crashed and exited to desktop, and another where I left it on the main menu and went to grab a drink, when I got back it had froze completely and I had to restart my whole PC. This game also has its fair share of bugs, nothing too crazy just your average stuff like model clipping, an instance where draw fell through the map and could not be revived, and a few more minor things. I had two game breaking bugs on my playthrough, an instance where the game decided not to recognize my keyboard and mouse and I had to force close it. And another where you go onto a ledge to cross a gap to get some materials for upgrades and an outfit box, this ledge just auto puts you into the animation so you get stuck in a loop of walking back and forth across the ledge not able to get out unless you try really hard and get lucky, it was very flarking frustrating. As far as anything else goes I may edit this review once I wake up and reread it in a non sleep deprived state. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

This game is incredible, been awhile since I've played something that wasn't only like 8 hours long story wise. I can't wait for more Playstation Exclusives to come to PC. This game 1000% needs to have a sequel. Sam Witwer ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killed it! 31 hours or playtime for my first playthrough, it's been awhile since I've played a game that I've just sat down and played as much as possible. If you enjoyed the game please go to change.org and sign the petition for the sequel. Incredible work all around. This game is worth every penny and hour I sunk into it. Still more to do and I plan to 100% it and get all of the achievements. I don't really know what else to say other than that. If you're on the fence about this game go for it, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Both the Castle Demo and Village Demo included in this are great. Can't wait to play the full game. I love RE games(Have played them all through as I've grown up with them) and 7 was a very nice change of pace with First Person and the story was pretty great. Super excited for this game! The Demos are nice tease to play before the full release and got me hooked. 10/10 Tall Vampire Lady GFs

Graphics are very nice, RT adds some super nice lighting which really shines in the castle portion and adds to the eeriness in darker areas.

Gives off RE:4 vibes for sure and with 4 being one of my favorite in the series this game really hits the mark.

Duke is a massive character(literally the trailers didn't do him justice), interested to see the first interaction with him as when you meet him in the castle demo, there is already a acquaintanceship with him, also would like to see the types of Weapons we can get this time around, seems to be a bit more customization in this than in RE:7. Which I am all for. The more weapons and customizability the better.

Runs great on my system 100+fps on Max Settings with RT enabled at 1440p, although I have a pretty beefy rig, but most reviews suggest it runs good on most systems. There were a few drops here and there that I'm sure can be smoothed out with adjusting a couple of settings.

Side Note: All of you dummies that left negative reviews because you can't read need to learn how to. It said in the middle of the page what time it was unlocking.

Avalanche and Square Enix blew it on this one, which is sad because I've played and loved the Just Cause series since the first one. 3 was fantastic, graphics were phenomenal and the story was good with great gameplay. This game is almost a complete 180 in the other direction, below average graphics, terrible voice acting and story, cut-scenes were made on the lowest possible settings with film grain on maximum, who the hell thought it would be a good idea to use pre-recorded cut-scenes that were recorded on the lowest possible settings? Played all of 20 minutes after spending a good little bit trying to get the settings to finally save and it still looked like s h i t on the max possible settings. Refunded straight away, might get it again... maybe.... if it get's fixed or goes on a DEEEEEEEPPP sale, I really wanted to enjoy this game but for a 2018 title the 2008 cut-scenes and voice acting were a big turn off, plus enough bugs to make me pull my hair out literally. You change the graphics settings 20 times and it won't save, until the 25th time, and then every time you close the game the settings are reset. SMH.... honestly f u c k this game.

Originally played the game on Xbox 360 back when it first came out. Absolutely loved it and the PC version is fantastic so far! Good old Rage I know and love but over 80fps on a high refresh rate 1440p monitor! 10/10! Let's hope the PC version has a better ending... JK... Or am I?

Absolutely blown away, this game is just amazing. One of my favorites, haven't experienced any issues so far. The graphics are absolutely insane. I've never played a game that looked as good as this does at 1440p max settings. The optimization is actually a lot better than I was expecting, some minor dips here and there but other than that I'm getting 90+fps even in some of the most intensive parts so far. Such a good game, probably my favorite to date, the story is just phenomenal, I can't even explain how good it get's without any spoilers, definitely going to play through it a second time.

Graphics. 10/10
Performance. 9/10
Story(It's so good!) 100/10
Crafting. 10/10
"Open World" style levels. 10/10

Gives me serious S.T.A.L.K.E.R vibes and it's fantastic, towards the end of the game another character mentions Stalkers, and I think it's a hint at the Metro and S.T.A.L.K.E.R series being related. Or it could be an homage to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R devs that helped with Exodus. But the fact there are the same mutants and now the electrical anomalys, I think they definitely are related.

This game is amazing I originally had it on the 360 when it first released due to my PC at the time being a mess that could barely run browser games. A good story and fun to play for hours at a time even with it being a linear type game design. Don't listen to all these 1 I.Q. idiots Review Bombing the series because they either didn't get a copy of EXODUS on steam before they were gone or don't like the principle behind switching to Epic Games after months and months of advertising and getting sales on Steam. I personally didn't like the decision and like to keep all my games on one platform, I preordered months ago so it wasn't an issue for me and I'm not going to cancel a preorder or boycott a game based on something the Publisher did with distribution. At the end of the day the Developers who worked hard on these games and Exodus for years at a time for each title, don't deserve to be slandered and ridiculed over something they had no control over. Yeah talk crap on the publisher, talk crap on Epic Games, but Review Bombing and trying to ruin the sales and or reputation of the games is hurting the developers more than anyone, and they're just as much of a victim to this situation as the consumers.
