No real purpose to the game, just tedious tasks over and over.

Isn't bad, it is quite upfront about what it is.

I would prefer a more passive gameplay from the start, more of a mobile tower defense kinda thing, you eventually get something like that, but progression feels too step-function, not linear enough, have to grind for a while until you realize the exact order in which you need to do things, then it becomes kinda routine.

Overall not upset for having paid for it, but I won't ever be replaying it.

decent little game, the end scales a little on the boring end, but still enjoyed it and 100%'d it.

I can't in good faith recommend this game since it is hidden AI creation. It doesn't say anything about that until the very end credits.

The GAME itself is mildly interesting for a few hours of play (I left mine running over night so I have 19 hours playing), and if it hadn't been "AI" created, I would recommend it.

Great little game, not super deep, but well made for what it is. great first game for a dev, the price is well worth the fun you get out of it. doesn't even take 3 hours to complete, I just went slow and even just let it sit for while not playing some

So I really do want to recommend this game, and the first few hours are quite enjoyable, but the problem is that the entire game becomes tedious to a point that isn't enjoyable by the end. The real problem is that the game doesn't respect your time and needs to cut in half the wall clock hours needed to complete the game, if not more. Right now, I would say that you "get the experience of the game" after a few hours and the rest is just something to do if you feel like being a completionist, not that the game gets better or more fullfilling. The slog at the end of the game I really only finished to be able to make this review.

The game -is- good, and I -did- have fun with it, but several times it felt like the balance of the game's bottlenecks and limited resources didn't actually add anything to story, gameplay, or overall experience but instead just made the game take longer/be slower

1) This game has 0 accessibility options, and that is a HUGE issue.

2) This game doesn't respect your time enough. The robots are a nice addition, but that only allows you to slightly tread water, not to actually fully automate things.

3) The game is basically a collection of mini-games for gathering resources, social points, fishing, and building, all of which become tedious after the 3rd time you do them. There needs to be unlockables (fairly early) that allow you to automate ALL of the mini-games. Honestly, I think just having an accessibility option to bypass them completely would make the game way less frustrating to play after the first few hours (and make it possible for some gamers who can't do the required actions for some of the mini-games (dancing, fishing, and listening in particular)

4) The game has hitches (even on a near top of the line system like mine that)

5) Food crafting is super random and doesn't help you at all, you essentially have to look up a list to be able to figure out all the combos it wants you to find. It could easily highlight ingredients that go into recipes you haven't unlocked (if you have them visible)

6) Storage UX is clunky, the 'store all' button shouldn't move on the screen even when boxes are different sizes (won't make sense to new player)

7) The social system feels like it is 2~3x harder per 'person' to cap out than it should be

8) The it is awkward to get large physical items from the 'ground level' up to the main level, There should be a way to automate this (and it needs to be early)

9) The map should indicate to you which locations you have visited before

10) fully automated tasks should be possible (like farming biomass to convert to other items or to cook a single dish) or craft a single item (like the floor tile)

11) the UI/UX of upgrading the miner, sprinkler, and battery were both non-obvious for me until I looked at the holes in my blueprints. The upgrade button is hidden when you look at them after they are set up and wired up.

12) The achievements are a bit silly in that 1 you can "Miss" in your first playthrough and takes quite a while to get to if you do (biomass related to not spoil)

13) time doesn't go fast enough when in sleep, which could really help speed up the wall-clock time of a lot of things

14) Mining and printing are both at least 2x longer than they need to be

14) the robots don't have an option to pick naturally growing biomass and plants, nor to kill the 'bad plants'

Only 5 hours so far, but seems to be right in-line with the type of game I'm looking for. I'm doing poorly but that is to be expected until I learn a good balance of what to do.

Best part about this game is how smooth it is for a pre-release. They have worked on quick load times, good performance, and all that obviously. That really helps the game shine when playing, allowing you to not be upset when you realize you're going to starve all your nomads ;) Core gameplay loop of the game is fairly well designed. You can easily lose hours into the game.

Game is purposely designed to not tell you anything, some like that, I personally just watch a couple videos online about what to know when starting... and then I love the game.

It is a great survival game so far, I haven't even wanted to start the story until I craft a really nice raft.
