If I had to choose one word to sum this up, it would be 'experience.' As I'd suggest with most horror games, play this one when you're in a stable mental state as it deals with some serious topics.

Mouthwashing is. One hell of a game. One hell of an experience, as I said. The control scheme is comfortable, the art-style is very good and quite campy, and the story itself is gripping. If you like what you see from the screenshots or youtube videos or somewhere else, stop what you're doing/consuming/watching and grab the game for yourself, because to watch it and to experience it are very *very* different. Its a relatively short game but once you close it, it sticks with you in a way. Just... really good.

After finishing Chapter 1 which seemed framed as the intro chapter, I have to say the game is very good with a few small buts. I love the environment, the characters, the music, oh man the music; I haven't heard a game OST that so easily throws me back to my days of playing and enjoying 'Life is Strange' in a long time. The world it builds is interesting, the platforming is relaxing and fun, the driving is quick and snappy (which is a personal point of contention because it makes the vehicle you drive a little flighty and flimsy feeling but I understand its a personal pet peeve and doesn't much effect the rating of this review).

Can't rate it on a numerical scale but if you're looking for a chill platformer with a good visual direction, you'll find it here. However, if you have more severe cases of motion sickness while playing video games, I can't say I'd recommend it. I have the motion sickness accessibility option on and at max(?) but I still got sick after playing for an hour and a half. I'm not a pro at motion sickness accessibility options but something tells me the dot that exists right now might not be enough.

Few small gripes that I hope will be fixed is that there is no advanced graphics options, in the sense that I can't go and tweak specific qualities and settings, instead I have to use a preset system, which is fine but a little primitive. The camera can be tough to deal with. The dialogue is not properly translated(?) at times which can break the flow of conversations that are otherwise perfectly servicable and cute; I just found myself losing immersion when the flow of conversation breaks when something from French is translated so-and-so into English. I *think* some of the idioms and sayings and meanings are not coming across exactly right but I'm only at the beginning of Chapter 2.

All in all, a game I do not regret buying and one that I might have to chip away at in pieces if the motion sickness continues, but even despite the few flaws it has, it is a game I was excited to try and do not regret buying.

edit (and I really hate having to say this): but having a pride flag on a wall is not political in a game about a settlement surviving on a planet abused and abandoned by a mega-corporation; anyone calling a pride flag 'political' is exactly the type of person that pride flag is there for.

Huge Shadowrun fan, and a growing fan of Harebrained's writing. Out of the entire trilogy, though, I have to say this one is my favorite of them all. They all have their tone and vibe and feel, yeah, but Hong Kong by virtue-combination is the best both technically and writing wise. The story is immersive if you let it take you, some bugs and annoyances from the other two games are gone, and out of all the games so far, the squadmates are the best. Very good game

Honestly, its easy to dismiss this game as 'haha funny goat milf' and while yes Rhok'zan sure as ♥♥♥♥ is an excellent selling point, there's... more to it. I went in expecting a fun little horror slash dating-sim VN and came out with a gift. Sure, you get to [REDACTED] the [REDACTED], you have to [REDACTED] so you don't get [REDACTED], and yeah, you [REDACTED]; but...

Along the way there's this subplot wherein you do your utmost to retain your humanity. You fight back against the easy route. You can choose to keep what makes you *you.* Some endings rely on you going out of your way to do that, most notably one of the endings in the third chapter. It's... difficult to put into words, that experience, but all I will tell you is that it is excellent. It pays to be human, it tells you. There's little out there that manages that.

Oh, and if waxing poetic about reading too into a goat-milf-dating-horror-vn wasn't enough for you, the art is stellar, the music absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rocks, the gameplay loop is interesting without getting stale, the controls and UI are comfy to use, every chapter of the game (though short they may be for some) is fun to play and easy to replay to get the alternate paths, the characters are likable and lovable (Billie dating when??????), and not to mention all the achievements are fun to hunt for.

Overall, most worthwhile ten bucks I've spent. ♥♥♥♥, if I had an inkling as to how good this would have been, I'd happily pay full price, and not to mention there's *another one.* Another game, probably just as good.

If you're looking for something that emulates the feeling of the original game decently well, you can find it here. The puzzles are decent, not too tough nor too complicated; the map design is probably one of the strong points of the mod; the combat is reminiscent of the core game; the story is... well, it's decent as well, about as decent as they come. It is the story ever. The most story to ever story.

Alright experience if you can look past the lukewarm puzzles and cheap horror tropes that are frankly filler material, you'll find an experience worth your time and your zero dollars if you're just looking for a quick adventure.

A (sadly) rather quick but also extremely impressive little mod on the Half Life 2 game and universe that features you as Gordon(?) on your way through a significantly grittier and darker depiction of City 17 that I very much enjoyed; knowing what I know of Half Life lore, a depiction such as this seems much more in line of what I would expect from City 17.

In between the small exposition of riding the coattails of a rebel cell not-so long gone in a zombie infested City 17, very interesting and innovative mechanics can be found that change what a person might be used to in the original in a very good way! There are very, *very* good moments in this that I don't wanna spoil but it is definitely worth your time, if you have some hour, hour and a half, to spend!

Congrats to TripWire for the full release, hoping for continued support for a few years to come.

A bit different from the first game, in a good way. Guns feel great, gore looks amazing, the maps are interesting, fun as hell with friends. Its an overall great game, with a few of its quirks. The one i mind the most is the out of game UI, feels a bit clunky and large at times, but thats just my opinion.
