I saw the videos of this game when it first released and there's no way in hell I would have paid $69.99 for it back then. However, after the months and months of cooking, this game is in a very solid place and it's extremely fun and addictive. The gameplay loop is essentially Borderlands with Vampires mixed with Arkane's unique/intracite style and world building.

I truly loathe Bethesda because of how they butchered what this game could have and should have been. Had this been developed solely in Arkane's vision, I'd wager it would have been one of the best Immersive sims in recent memory. As I said, even in it's current state, playing solo and offline, I'm enjoying my time thoroughly and don't want it to end.

Sure, some of the characters are bit awkward and lame but the gameplay and immersive world keeps me engrossed. Such a shame, definitely pick it up whenever it's on sale.
