A perfect blend of parkour gameplay like Mirror's Edge with zombies and combat. The story is enjoyable enough but the main draw is the gameplay, at least for me.

The parkour is not *quite* as fluid as in Mirror's Edge perhaps, but it's damn close and just running around the town is fun. The grapple hook is also tons of fun once unlocked, some people seem to feel it makes the game boring and obsoletes a lot of the parkour, but I instead found that it complements the normal parkour really well.

Combat works well and feels satisfyingly "meaty", with both melee and gunplay combining well for options to approach situations. Along with the various parkour moves to demolish zombies there's plenty of variation to avoid combat getting stale. I feel like the durability system on weapons is also just enough to encourage trying out different weapons while not running out so fast as to be annoying to maintain (at least on normal difficulty, I haven't played the other modes).

I have not had the opportunity to try out co-op, but I can imagine it only gets better with friends. The game however keeps my interest when playing singleplayer, in contrast to some other games I've played which really don't work without friends. So: friends or no friends, the game is very enjoyable.

Combines aspects from a few soulsborne games very nicely. Combat feels very inspired by Bloodborne, but it also implements a parry system reminiscent of Sekiro. Each facet of the combat is perhaps not as polished as its inspirations, but the combination of them gives a fresh experience that is very much enjoyable.

This is perhaps the closest we will ever get to an actual Bloodborne sequel.

Edit: With the platform issue resolved, along with other updates, I'll change this review to be recommending the game.

If you are a fan of the souls series and other soulslikes, you will likely enjoy this game. I will say that if you have games from FromSoftware themselves or other souls-likes in your backlog already, it might be worth to prioritize them first.

Performance issues seem to be mostly dealt with, even if it doesn't run perfectly still (on the auto settings my FPS ranges from 60-144, 6900XT + 5900X).

A great game to play with some friends! The terraforming feature is really nice to play with and has good freedoom and ease of use. Constructing a rover, sticking a drill on it, and then driving around drilling long tunnels into the earth is perhaps my favourite thing to do in the game.

When last I played it still had some performance issues, especially when playing online with friends (no dedicated servers), which I hope will be resolved, as it can get pretty frustrating at times.

When playing alone it can get a bit boring and lonely to roam a world by yourself, at least in my opinion, and that goes for most sandbox games I play. So definitely play it with some good friends :)
