I played the previous game a lot but after only five hours I'm done with this one.

After 5 hours of playing it feels like I've already landed in a repeating cycle of:
- Get to new region
- Find captains/ towers/ intel
- Kill or dominate orcs
- Defeat boss in a siege
- Move to next region
with only slight changes each time in side missions, abilities, enemies or characters.

In the first game the character controls were good but here they just feel clunky at times where it doesn't do what I intend. I also don't need to be prompted to press a specific key ever time i do something or in combat, similar to the first game it can feel like you never really leave the tutorial. The game daughters you on what to do without making you think for yourself, even on higher difficulties.

Some side missions such as memories, temples, runes etc. can be fun at times but are mostly pretty grindy/boring. Some of them are meant just to extend the length of the game but some strong upgrades and items require you to do them.

The series has always had a strong point with funny dialogue/ enemies and their strengths/ weaknesses but similar to the first game they get boring after you've heard or seen them multiple times. Allied captains and orcs playing a bigger role during fights and stories is pretty interesting however.

The nemesis system from the first game remains interesting and offers a unique experience where you start to like or hate specific uruks. If you run into a captain that you can't seem to kill and keep struggling with you're better of staying away and comming back later, otherwise you're likely to turn them into a stronger opponent. If you manage to kill them it is possible that the game chooses to revive them, which imo is kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if i've decapitated the same uruk 2 times already.

Very cool game, i'll try to keep this spoiler free with only some info about minor gameplay elements.

Personally played the game to 100% completion, including: all endings, all quests, all weapons and pods fully upgraded and all data.

Things i like:
- Very good and smooth combat with many options in playstyle, weapons and possible upgrades
- Amazing and very deep story (you don't need to play previous games however it does require 3 plays for the full story)
- Good graphics and style
- Very good characters and relations that develop really well over the course of the game.
- Great map/locations with many hidden and secret elements, quests and levels.
- After the 3 playthroughs you unlock a chapter select to do everything you want to do or missed and choose with which character.
- Open world. You can do whatever you want, go wherever you want to and without loading screens. The only time you will encounter loading screens is when using the fast travel system with these loading screens being relatively fast.

Downsides, most of these are minor but still deserve to be mentioned:
- Some programs, moves and chips can be quite overpowered (auto heal when low hp and dodge spamming)
- Some parts can be very repetitive, you play some quests multiple times with minor to no differences.
- Some elements can take a lot of time, fast traveling everywhere for a specific quest or requirement can be annoying and certain materials for upgrades are just hard to get.
- You're likely to miss quite a significant amount of quests, locations and loot if you're not specifically looking for them or using the wiki
- It's not a great pc port. The framerate is capped a 60fps, you can play with keyboard/ mouse but similar to darksouls it is clearly designed for controller, optimization/ performance isn't great but certainly playable. (my pc specs can be found below)

This game isn't for everyone and i don't know how to word who would enjoy it.
The first 1 to 2 hours can give a great taste of what the game is about just without the more developed story.

What i played on:
2560x1440p resolution
high/ very high settings
XBOX one controller
50-60 fps with sometimes dips to 45-50, like i said the game is capped and decreasing the settings didn't improve fps.

Relevant PC specs:
GTX 1080
I7-7700K
16 GB DDR4 RAM
Samsung 960 EVO NVME SSD

If you have any questions just comment on this review and i'll probably answer within a day.

It was good, the optimization could be better but certainly a good follow up to the original dishonored

Pretty bad,
Main story was very short (about 10 hours), Only 1 cutscene was actually enjoyable.
The ending and story were both boring, bad and cliché.
Every mission was basically drive a car to this location for 5 min, Shoot these things, sometimes infiltrate and grab this item or rescue this person and then leave the area.

The graphics are pretty good but especially nvidia cards can expect underwhelming performance.

tbh, maybe worth 10/15$ nothing more.

Just started playing it again with loads of mods and it's really fun.

It is a shame that the engine is the same as skyrim using low resolution textures because of the consoles that are to weak.
The old engine has bound game time speed to 60 fps. This means that if you unlock your fps in the game files like i did the game will speed up if you are above that 60 fps mark to the point where getting 100 fps will make everything happen incredibly fast and lockpicking is impossible because i get a couple thousand fps there.

So just cap at 60 fps even if you don't like it and use mods to make up for the low res textures used

Early Access Review
I updated this review at the request of another player. This game is currently only 2,99 while many other people would try to ask 5$ or more. I changed this review from negative to positive because a bug that really ruined the gameplay for me has been fixed and the dev is working good at it.
