I just couldn't get myself to enjoy this game, even though I liked the previous 2 games in the series.
There are way too many things to collect, just spamming buttons and animations to gather exp and materials. Making just walking around take 2 or 3 times as long as it should and just distracts me from the good and fun parts.

The story didn't manage to hook me in and wasn't all that interesting to me, despite it starting pretty strong with some unexplainable disasters.

The injuries Laura suffered within cutscenes and how she shrugged them off/ how fast she heales from them is incredibly unreleastic and managed to annoy me a lot. Healing from an injury with some healing items mid gameplay is fine, but if a big injury happens within a cutscene I expect it to be taken seriously. However, Laura suffers a ton of big injuries within the cutscenes and continues to just shrug them off or rub a cloth with some water over it and be done with it.

It's decent at first but the material grind gets so boring and annoying after a while.
You might be able to alleviate this a bit with different skill choices but I still don't see it being enjoyable.

The game is a mobile game as well, and it shows.
The menus aren't friendly for PC/ console play at all and the combat sucks.
I bought this during the summer sale and I'm glad I didn't pay the full 20$ for it.

For a DLC it's good but it leaves many things to be desired.

In all honesty I'm only rating this positive because I loved the first game.
However, the vehicles, environment and enemies aren't nearly as fun as in Subnautica.

On land exploration and movement is one of the weakest points in Subnautica and they turned it into a major part of this game without a lot of improvement in my opinion.

As for the evironment, it's a lot more cramped and some parts were just a giant maze where I couldn't find my way without looking at a guide.

The seatruck tries to be a middleground between the seamoth and the cyclops, which is necessary because the cyclops would be even more cramped in below zero, but I personally really don't like vehicle but it's basically your only option.

I seriously thought about giving it a negative review but in the end I did finish the story so I'll give it a 6/10.

I felt conflicted about giving this game a positive review. It was certainly fun, but a 20$ price tag for an indie game that lasts 1.5-2 hours is steep.

Nevertheless, I'll still rate it positively. It was short but the game was filled with tons of separate small, bite size pieces of story for all the different characters. If you like relaxing, intriguing, visually interesting story telling games this is certainly an option you want to consider.

Awesome game, the story is fresh and the characters are cool
Many interesting side quests, minigames and other stuff to do apart from the main story.

Although the combat becomes repetitive, later on I mostly blasted all my enemies away with some of the overpowered guns.

Pretty good game, the story is great and the ending I got is awesome.
However, the only reason i'm saying it isn't a very good game is because of the horrible controls.

The controls already weren't that great on console and although I do have a couple controllers I tried playing it with mouse and keyboard first. Frankly, the mouse and keyboard controls really suck with the camera being quite hard to control at times and some specific actions being nearly impossible. The game is also very QTE heavy, I understand that they designed it that way because of the story and all but this is a bit too much.

In short, I didn't enjoy the game both because of the game design, story and VR implementation.
I only played for 1 hour because I didn't enjoy it enough to continue playing it

My VR problems with the game:
- VR controls are clunky, even with the assist options on/off there were plenty of times where I couldn't really get Senua to walk in the direction I want to go. The camera rotating is annoying and although I prefer watching/ playing from behind her right shoulder several times I ended up with her on the left side or in the middle of the screen, taking up way too much space.
- Combat is easy and cheap. The game doesn't tell the combat controls but one or two enemies is enough to figure it out. However considering that you're fighting from a VR perspective it's really annoying if enemies are spawned behind your back and you just need to guess when to press the block/parry button because you physically can't turn around fast enough while also fighting another enemy.

Game problems:
- The implementation of the disorder is cool but I didn't enjoy the story/ completely understand it. To me it mostly came off as some boring dialogue with not much understandable meaning behind it.
- The runes are interesting at first but mostly just quite boring and just take up a little bit of your time.
- Early on in the game where you have to run through fire I got killed by a piece of falling wood which wasn't easily visible in VR and seemed to miss Senua. On my second try I did the exact same as before, the wood mostly missed again but this time I didn't get killed. The fact that I can do something "wrong" or " right" which means a difference between continuing forward or dying without in hindsight knowing what made the difference seems quite bad to me.
