Gmod is a dying game with a dwindling playerbase, you will not have the same experience you see in youtube videos.

DarkRP servers are awful to actually play in. You spend an hour downloading whatever 10 GB pack of addons it makes you download at a snails pace. Every server is a P2W grind where you will be killed constantly by people who spend hours and hours on that server. The only fun to be had is to ♥♥♥♥ around with people and not take any of it seriously.

Those "GermanyRP" servers are even worse. They're filled with 15 year old kids who think the USSR anthem is funny, you know the type. Try to do anything fun in those, and you WILL be in a admin sit with some guy larping as a nazi all day.

TTT is fun, some servers are bloated to all hell with 15 GB of addons and anime models.

Long story short, grab a friend, ♥♥♥♥ around, have fun observing the people that still play this game.
