I was a teenage exocolonist is gripping in a way I hadn't anticipated, at least a couple of the characters will have you in a vice grip by the end of your first play through. The plot and characters are definitely where the game shines, the game play is great and remains enjoyable even after you've gotten all the plot endings.

I won't lie, there's easily such a thing as too much of it. Don't go for 100% achievements if you want to come away from the game with your love of how it all fits together intact, at least not on a relatively short time frame. The plot is great, the characters are interesting, the aesthetic is lovely, and the mechanics are charming but when you're on the last 10 or so endings and trying to get the last 5 or so cards you're liable to get tired of it.
