New Civilisations, graphics overhaul, new co-op scenarios, includes all expansions from previous editions as well as 3 new purchasable expansions. It has ranked and unranked multiplayer and very active player base and community. Some gameplay changes like new hotkeys, shift queuing commands, ability to zoom out and see more of the map. There probably a lot more I'm missing but regardless, it's a must buy for anyone who likes AoE2!

Can I ask, any huge differences between the HD version and Definitive Edition? Which one of them has ranks and e-sports, any difference in the gameplay?
