10/10! Cannot recommend this game enough!

I absolutely adored Resident Evil 7 as in my opinion it's the number one best resident evil game made and not only that, but it's the one and only game that revived the whole franchise as it was going downhill before.

The atmosphere of the game is immaculate and very scary which can easily create an unsettling feeling. Even walking around corners is scary because you never know what awaits you behind it. The graphics are amazing (slightly blurry but nothing reshade can't fix). The jumpscares are also insanely scary and I don't really get scared easily when I play horror games, but this game startled me so much.

Gameplay wise I think the game is good. The storymode length is decent, not too short not too long, its just perfectly balanced. As for DLCs I got to say that the 21 DLC is my most hated and least favourite DLC as its really rigged and it prefers the AI opponent instead of you. The daughters, End of Zoe, Not a Hero and Ethan must die DLCs were all lamazing and fun and quite unique and refreshing as I haven't played anything similar to them before. But they also give more insight to the storymode.

This game is perfect <3. My no.1 favourite RE game.

The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is so well made and the fact that you can switch between 3rd person and 1st person gameplay is such a game changer. This game was really well made and such a great continuation of the Resident Evil 7 game. The plot-twist at the about Ethan really shocked me and left me speechless, but also Resident Evil Village managed to expand on the lore about Eveline, the mold, the story of Ethan and Mia and of course their baby Rose.

The villains were amazing and in my opinion well written, I mean take a look at Lady Dimitrescu, saved by Mother Miranda as she was dying becauuse of a blood related disease only to be saved and granted a castle with 3 daughters Bella, Cassandra and Daniela. She truly was a mother figure to her daughters. It's even more portrayed after Ethan kills all 3 daughters and we see Lady Dimitrescu weeping in the castle and calling out for her daughters or towards the boss fight with her when she says to Ethan "you came looking for your daughter, yet you are killing mine!". These details really made me feel so bad for Lady Dimitrescu because even though she was a servant to Mother Miranda, I believe she still had a good soul and that the old her was still there somewhere.

Then we have Haisenberg, I didn't like him that much but he's just one of those complex characters where even though you don't like them, you can't help it but feel pity for them because during the playthrough, we find notes from Haisenberg talking about how he wants to take revenge on Mother Miranda for destroying him.

I loved Donna Beneviento because I genuenly felt so bad for her even though she was Miranda's servant. Her lore is genuenly so tragic as her parents commited suicide causing her mental health to deteriorate and cause her to have anxiety and because she was and felt alone, she started talking to the doll made by her dad as if the doll was her family. That was all that was left for her.. :/

As for mother Miranda, as much as I feel for her loss and need to get her daughter back, her actions cannot be justified and as much as I admire her love and strong will to bring her daughter back, it doesn't make it right to rob someone else's daughter to bring back her own. I find it ironic that she is willing to bring her daughter to life through someone else's daughter even though she knows full well how it feels to lose her child.

Not much to say about the blob fish, I just felt bad for him because his body looked like it was in pain xD

As for the winter expansion pack, it was genuenly amazing and well done. Not only did it keep the horror aspect of resident evil as we had to venture through haunted dolls in a dark house but we also got to see how Rose developed and matured but as well as grow a bond with Ethan. The scenes where Ethan and Rose were talking genuenly shattered me as it was the most beautiful thing in the world, the father-daughter love that they have is so strong and tragic as they've been separated yet they are close to one another and as Ethan was dying, when he told Rose that he loves her and he's proud of her genuenly broke my heart 😭.

I think the most scenes I enjoyed in this game were the moments between Rose, Ethan and Mia but also the moments with Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters. This game was trully a masterpiece and I adore it so much. But it's such a bitter sweet feeling knowing that now Ethan is dead and we won't see him and Rose together in the future Resident Evil games.

The only thing that bothers me about this game is the way they pronounce the word "Dimitrescu" 😭. Like when they say the word they say "Dimitresc" they stop at the C, but you are meant to read the U at the end as well "Di-mi-tres-cu" (like coup/ CU) and if it's a romanian name it's meant to be "Dumitrescu" not "Dimitrescu"

A true masterpiece.
