This is my Game of the Year.

The story is excellent, at times brutal and mature. Believable characters, perfectly escalating tension intertwined with fragments of manga.

The combat is fundamentally simple in terms of the number of skills but difficult to master. The battles are not frustrating at all—every step forward gives you the feeling that you're truly improving. A boss you couldn’t defeat three days ago, the one you thought you’d never beat, suddenly becomes manageable. You’ll take them down without taking a single hit, and it feels like a beautiful dance.

For non-gamers, there’s also a story mode. If the difficulty intimidates you, don’t let it stop you—play it for the story alone.
