Some of the negative reviews mention this game is shallow meanwhile I am here like "Thank god none of those overly complicated mechanics that are present in other farming sims are here."
Tools upgrade immediately, they auto-select when near their respective resource node, the mines are actually fun and so is the combat. This game is so cute and addictive and you can just focus on the myriad of activities on offer without worrying too much about social dynamics.

Now don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the social aspects of farming sims, but I always thought the social dynamic of just giving people gifts was a little silly. Besides, I often ended up stressing over trying to raise everyone's hearts to max and having to track favourite gifts is a hassle. I still prefer farming sims who have that social mechanic, but I feel like as lacklustre as it is in Fae Farm, I actually don't feel like it's a major gripe at all. There are simply so many things to do in the game for it to matter too much.

The decorating aspect and over-all customisation options are pretty detailed. I love all the cute furniture and outfits and the ability to dye them is a welcome change!

The fishing mechanic isn't my fave and I wish there was more crops and flowers to grow but I understand it's something you unlock as you progress.

Over-all I really love this game. It's so much fun and features so many QOL improvements that it's perfect for people who just want to relax and enjoy themselves (for instance, as much as I love farming sims, they can get very stressful). All the while you still get to enjoy that sweet dopamine release from all the exploration, farming, and decorating - just without all the hard work.
