Game makes me hate myself when i mess up. Just like type-racer games. That's how you know it's good!

Overall solid game that will keep you on your toes, any slow late action will punish you, any indecisive decision mentally drains you, and every health bar loss wears you down. KEEP YOUR FINGERS ON HIGH ALERT.

My only gripe is most characters feel F-tier in comparison to Ophelia and Zygmund in terms of perks. Even with good stats of the others, perks seem to have much more value.

Cool Game! You will stress out, but it feels super rewarding heading to the elevator and leaving the crazy hellscape~

The base game IS BASED. Storytelling, Characters, Game-design, the Works!
The modding community is BASED, you have infinite ways to play this game thanks to it's still proactive modding community.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PLAYING THIS IN VR. I lost a lot of steam for this game a couple years back but playing it in VR is so game changing, it's like a different experience entirely! If you have the money, it's absolutely wroth the investment.

The only downside is the PUBS, as it has a lot of boomer sweats(Annoying gatekeepers), sweats, ragers at their apex. Just play with your friends, find a online community, or find a community server. Trust me, unless your a block-user-happy kinda guy, save yourself the stress.

The game is good but incredibly short if you're primarily doing this for the story. I've had friends beat it so quick they're left disappointed they could've experienced more building before the end.

I recommend installing 'Longer Travels' mod to mitigate that. That way, you can continue building, head towards the POI, and not feel like you're just speed running. And if you find that too long you can install the 'Simple Charger mod' to get early game rechargeable batteries.

From this alone, I had a game that I could've beaten in 20 hours to a 50-70 hour game session.

Overall good but short game, unless modded.

Dungeons are 5.5/10 nothing amazing, Especially compared to the superior Soroboreans DLC
Enemies are 10/10 with unique fight styles that you need to adapt to
The region is 4/10, it just lacks everything other regions have. It's all kinds of lacking
Quest/Lore is 3/10, Noble people corrupt, corrupt hate poor people. It's generic.

The City building 2/10.

Do you like changing the Base Gaming loop on its head and just grind the same dungeons for Nearly 250+ In-game days straight? Do you also like RNG where you have to pray like your at the Casino to find the ideal chance you have the right sample to continue the questline? Do you just like grinding in general because you treat this like a terrible MMO and not a proper adventure game as it was on base-game? THIS IS FOR YOU!

The game the first few hours in can be frustrating. You're basically told to make money to keep your house. So you venture out only to find a bunch of enemies to plunder for loot. In most RPGs thats pretty straightforward, so times to slay those enemies and pay off the house right?

Well no, you're not a hero and even lowly bandits can 2-tap you if you're inexperienced. From there on out, figure it out. There are a FEW tips to guide you in-game but after that, that's it.

With that, I hated it at first. With no knowledge and "Just-figure-it-out" while continuously getting bodied for not having prior knowledge was really hitting my boiling point.

But there's a charm to this game that's hard to explain. And I can't even describe in this review.

Best I can tell you is that you just have to grit your teeth through the painful beginning and you start to see the magic.

Here's a few tips(Which is more tailored to those that want to jumpstart from the hell out of beginning game):

-Learn how to make money. I recommend the Horror Weapon Farm + Electric Lab Route. Props to SheenShots. Having a lot of money really reduces the frustration of this game quite a bit.

-Gaberry Tartine is a food recipe you should be stocking up on, it's infinite Stamina, why not.

-Practice the Combat. If you have to use Debug mode and give both you and your enemy invincibility and just practice each weapon that suits you.

-Lastly, there is no shame to use the Wiki. This game rewards curiosity but sometimes it can be hours of trial and error, and every mistake you make quest can impact your current run permanently. I use it when i absolutely need to but I play half-blind.

That's it. I haven't beaten the game but I believe I have been enlightened why the niche group loves this game. There really isn't games like these anymore. The dev team have a vision and if you just bear through it, you can truly see the beauty.

This game is frustrating.

I keep dying to boulders, I keep dying from enemies sandwiching me between them, I keep dying to boulders, I keep dying from flanks, I keep dying from magic, I keep dying from boulders, I keep dying as a monster to a shopkeeper, I keep dying to boulders, I keep dying in the early game, I keep dying from the dark, and I ESPECIALLY keep dying to boulders.

But the game is fun! I hope you have masochistic tendencies because this game will test your limtis!

No idea if this game is good or not I just saw booba and my pea-side unga-bunga Neanderthal brain turnt up to 11 and spent 3 dollars on a character.
