The fact that the only vehicle is locked behind DLC is scummy enough, but also the fact that the first time I tried to select a map and play, I had to cycle through 5 maps, each one tried to get me to buy DLC before it would actually start the game.

Seriously, don't include DLC in the game and not label is as DLC I don't own, and when I try to use it prompt me to buy it.

This is paradox levels of bull

It's very good but not as good as the first game. It definitely will hook you once you get a hang of the new game mechanics in it but it has some flaws too.

The Good
- It's got that grand adventure feeling that the first game had
- There's a lot of weapon and armour variety in it
- Research is now more streamlined
- The crafting options are really good
- There's a lot of nice new options when you start a game, depending on unlocks you acquired
- The new autoresolve is really good, and gives you a chance to fight the battle manually if the autoresolve result wasn't good enough

The Mixed
- I had a hard time following the story, the events seemed unrelated at times
- The world map is now 5 islands, with higher resources cordoned off from you which seems really artificial
- The voice acting isn't as good as the first game, but still decent
- There are harsh difficulty spikes

The Bad
- The new card combat system is bad, it's supposed to be more predictable but it's just flat out worse than the first game
- Some of the game mechanics are weird, you can die from losing an argument for example which makes zero sense
- The devs don't want you to savescum, but the RNG is brutal at times forcing you to save scum by clicking through the menu, they should have added a quick save and quick load
- The quest markers and quest list keeps disappearing for some reason, trying to figure out what you're supposed to be doing and where that is requires a good bit of digging through the UI

Great premise and very good implementation but the design choices are very weird and it's extremely punishing even on the easiest difficulty.

What it boils down to is essentially 2 or 3 resource gathering minigames that you have to play ad-neuseum. You have to do this because absolutely everything you do seems to damage your ship and lander, so you gotta endlessly play these minigames to restock your fuel, metals etc.

It could have been a really cool adventure game but instead it's kind of tedious. It's a shame it doesn't have mods or workshop support, I reckon a few balance mods would make this game really great.

It's good old Xcom and the gameplay is solid. For a tenner I really can't complain much because I know I'll get a load of playthroughs from this game. However it's got a few flaws, mostly with the writing and dialogue.

-It feels like I'm playing a game written by teenage girls whose target audience is other teenage girls and your squad seems to be mostly strong independent ethnic (or alien) women who don't need no man
-the characters aren't very likeable and have really bad dialogue
-the aliens are no longer alien, they sound like teenage girls (see above)
-all sense of seriousness is gone, people getting shot and bleeding out are cracking jokes and the medic who is stabilising them is cracking jokes too, which is really dumb

Firaxis have done a good job with the Xcom reboots, but story wise they're getting worse and worse.

The Good
-nice battle graphics
-nice spaceship effects
-cool concept

The Bad
-no hotkeys, everything has to be done with the mouse ... slowly
-UI is very bad and barebones
-can't speed things up
-game is basically a tedious board game
-the tutorial is just pages and pages of tiny text

Overall, smells like an indie middling-effort game. I would have given it a thumbs up if they had made it so you could just click to move your ships and click to attack with a hotkey for the weapon or something, instead of navigating the taskbar 40 times per battle.

You also can't end the turn by pressing the 'end turn' button, you have to navigate through all your ships and select 'standby' for each one then press then 'end turn' button. Bad design.

It's shorter than Dishonored 2 (5 missions as opposed to D2's 9 missions) but it's still a solid game. The powers tree has been removed which means you don't have to hunt down Runes on each map and instead all your fancy additional powers come from bonecharms.

You can also play a New Game+ with the original powers of D2 like freeze-time Blink and Tether which is nice. All in all, very good game.

Fantastically polished game as you would expect from Arkane (all their games are great, seriously). I played through twice, once as Corvo in low chaos and once as Emily in high chaos and they were two pretty different experiences. It's neat how the world changes and becomes more bleak the more killing you do.

I've no complaints at all about it, highly recommended if you liked the first game, or the new Deus Ex games, or Prey, or Dark Messiah.

My gf saw me playing this and called me a Nazi so I forced her to watch the 4 hour extended version of Das Boot again. Great game.

You play as Maximus Maddius, a stranded space marine in Australia where you have to beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of an endless bald horde of Orks (with Australian accents), with the aid of your techpriest hunchback and your land raider magnus opus you eventually get to install a V8 engine in your car and touch some slavegirl sideboob
