A classic and a benchmark for what action-adventure games should be. It holds very well even after all these years, so if you're into the genre, it's a must try.

The story is great, combat is ok, not too hard to master and you get to enjoy a solid amount of different weapons and equipment. The environment design is staggeringly beautiful and the level design is interesting at all times, often including some type of puzzles.

There is a whole lot of action and the quick-time events are also compelling.
The game mechanics are not clunky in any sense and everything works as intended.

The only con is that you don't really get much time to meet the characters and learn about them, so you don't really feel the loss once it happens (spoiler).
But they've been written pretty solid at least.

Richard Burns Rally 2.0

It is unforgiving and a damn good rally sim.

Base game - 3.5/5
Whistleblower DLC - 3.5/5

I've played a couple of survival horror titles and I've put a couple hours into Outlast over the years since it released.

And I don't think a survival horror can get much sicker than this.

I can say, even for myself - who doesn't usually get that spooked by horror games, it is a terrifying first experience.

If you've ever played horror games, in most cases, you get to predict the situation you will walk into by noticing the unusual calmness or quietness in the scenery - but the tension here is always high and jump scares really do get very unpredictable, and considering you're so vulnerable, it always sets it up perfectly for a really frightening escape.

The story is great, the visuals and the ambient is unmatched, the sound design is almost too good.

And considering the Whistleblower DLC, you'd think it's tough to imagine a game get more brutal than the original Outlast, but Whistleblower is just that.

It takes everything that was great about the original, but where it's superior is the story - it is written better, the antagonist is far better and far more believable, and the scenery somehow gets even more gruesome and sickening.
Hell, it might even be the best one in the Outlast series, and I think that says just enough.

If you're looking for a game so scary that it will make you pee yourself, look no further, this is what you need.

My love / hate relationship with this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird.

I love almost everything about it. And I hate how much I love it.

The story and the lore behind it, the cinematic quests, the characters and the acting, the frames and their abilities, the fact you're able to customize your frames and pretty much everything else, the parkour-influenced movement mechanics, the different weapon-based close combat systems, beautiful map designs among all of the solar system and all the boss fights on them. Different types of missions, a crazy amount of weapons, mods that you can use for pretty much anything, great soundtracks, companions you're able to have, vehicles and all types of transportation you're able to utilise.. It truly seems like there's no end to what this game has to offer - I still feel like there's a huge amount of things to do and explore, and I've been playing for a good amount of years.

And trust me, once you start the game it just keeps getting more interesting, and very soon you will be putting in those hours like there's no tomorrow - it is very addicting and very enjoyable to play and grind for more stuff and better stuff.

The updates are very frequent, whether they're big cinematic quests, community events, daily updates or hotfixes, something is always cookin' here.

Almost nothing is locked behind a paywall - you want something, you're able to get it if you grind enough - only cosmetics, ex. from the Tennocon, need to be paid for.

It has one of the nicest communities I have ever been a part of. Doesn't matter if you're a solo player, ask for help in the region chat and you will most probably get it - you need more people to help you with your missions on a daily basis - make a clan, form alliances.

There are some cons though -

The "meta" is changing too often and the grinding is endless, once you're putting daily hours into this game, it seems like you're progressing, but if you do stop just for a week, you will feel out of place. BOOM - update or a hotfix - your build that was "endgame" last week is just another average build this week. Well, I guess it is time to grind for the NEW "endgame" build.

And that's how it goes, that's how you put hundreds and thousands of hours into this game like most players out there.

Now imagine if you stopped playing for, let's say, a month, or a year - and you see all this new content, you might feel inspired to start playing the game again, and, to be fair, you will probably enjoy the new cinematic quests and everything else that came out in the meantime - but soon you understand that you're all back into the same loop, grinding, making endgame builds, and it just goes on and on like that.

Even though I was a bit harsh for things said above, what I complained about is purely the competitive aspect of it - if you're a casual player wanting to try out a majestic free-to-play open-world co-op action-packed sci-fi space ninjas game, or matter fact, any of those sub-genres I just mentioned, Warframe is definitely a great title worth your time.

Just try not to get too addicted - because I am aware that you surely will.

I haven't been playing for a couple of years now, but I still love this game endlessly. I just don't have that kind of time I had when I was a teenager anymore :(

I mean... does much need to be said.

After the success of the original Counter-Strike and the boom of e-sports, it was only logical what needed to be done with CSGO (CS Source was not it, even though i like it as much). And they did it - they made one of the most memorable shooters of all time, and capitalized on it - big.

It's not a perfect game, but it is bugless, it is getting frequent updates and staying very balanced for online matchmaking.

It is also competitive, very competitive, and the learning curve is huge, meaning it is not time consuming to get good at it, but very time consuming to get better than most.
And that's what most of the players drown their time in.

But, besides competitive, it gets to be fun in other ways.
It is very easy to enjoy it playing with friends, there are plenty of different community servers, and some people find skins and the ability to buy and trade them enjoyable too.

It's a classic instalment of a classic franchise, and honestly, even if you're not a fan of the shooting genre, this somehow finds a way to be different and more enjoyable than the rest.
