Into 1700 hours gameplay, I'm not done with this game yet... (100% steam achievement is not the whole thing of this game.)

There are reasons to try the game and also reasons to continue playing after a year from base game release.

Reasons to play the game is simple if you are just looking for something to kill time - There is so much to explore by yourself or with your friends since the game does not bind you to a certain story progress in campaign. This game surpasses that - It lets you experience the sense of achievement after every small milestones or long grinds you choose to work towards.

Monster Hunter, the franchise isn't just about eliminating creatures, for this game especially focused a lot of the ecosystem, with the New World habitat being the main highlight. There are tons of content available to players right off the bat. You have harvesting, treasure hunting, endemic life besides eliminating monsters. The game infuse these little by little in the story progression so it is almost impossible to miss out what is available to you with exeption of few Easter eggs. What I wish the game did was to further connect the dots, such that unbalance in population or resources affect another in the ecosystem.

If you are new to the franchise, the game content (Especially iceborne) is definitely a steal in my honest opinion. The story portrayed in both base game and iceborne was pretty impressive if you ask me. There are moments where I felt the fire burning in me when I concluded certain progression - I pictured myself as the protagonist embracing the threat presented.

Now if you are the group of people whom have played past Monster hunter series but yet to pick up Monster Hunter World by this time, what are you waiting? Having played past Monster Hunter series, I am very satisfied, impressed by how the franchise become what we have today. The graphics and mechanics is a big step forward. No more bad pixel graphics and troublesome paint balls. The revamp had most of our inconvenience rectified.

Does the gameplay ends after campaign is over? Very unlikely, for there are still several content made available for your gaming pleasure if you certainly enjoy the game by that point of completion of campaign. Further excel with your weapon prowess and dwell into the deeps to discover monster you heard legends spoke of, or even meeting some of your favourite monsters returning from past series. You probably end up just know what to expect with the countless google search for tips however...

By the time you are done with that, I suggest picking up a new weapon. I know many who completed the game with a main weapon, and met a lot of new friends through the game whom I relate them as players nifty with certain play style. However the game provides you with a new gameplay experience when you pick up a new weapon and step out into the field. The way each monster behaves and environmental landscape may or may not be an advantage or challenge to you when using certain weapons. When you finally overcome the monster with a new weapon, it feels amazing.

On top of everything the game supposed to deliver, Capcom managed to queue whole lot of new contents and collaborations over the months to amp up your hunter experience. New quests, festivals, monsters, fashion and misc content all for free on top of your game purchase. Needless to say, I am excited for the upcoming updates dropping this week so....

I'm not done with the game just yet.
