PlateUp is a fantastic Roguelike that rewards you between runs in interesting ways. The main game play centers around running a restaurant and serving food to customers and maintaining the building as your business expands. It sounds in theory a bit frull but I asure you it is exhilerating. Each run comprises many twists and turns as the game throws additional challenges your way while giving you input in the direction your run takes by choosing between two cards or directions along the way. Examples being do you want your restaurant to be fancy or fast?

After a completed run you can carry over many of the choices you made (via cards) into the more challenging franchise mode. Although it can vary how difficult running a franchise will be I find it extremely rewarding 2nd act to any successful restaurant run. It also gives you a break before ratcheting up the challenge.

Overall this game is incredibly fun and frenetic in multiplayer and is easy to get the hang of initially but harder to master, as the difficulty ramps over time, but it's a very fun challenge. The game also has a robust modding community that regularly adds new dishes and gameplay options. Also at the time of this review the developers are regularly releasing excellent updates to an already fun game. Definitely worth a try with your friends.

Key words that could be used to describe this game: innovative, disturbing, erotic, blasphemous, and inspiring.

Immortality is the kind of game that elevates the medium to new innovative heights. This is a game that will challenge you (as most great art does) to process, interpret, and analyze footage to piece together what is happening. The way I like to think of it is there are many different narrative threads not only comprising the individual movies but the actors, as well as across the game about what happens during the filming and between these films. The payoff for giving yourself time to explore this game and dig below the surface is immense as it explores much deeper themes than you will find AAA fare.

Three non-spoilery hints to help you enjoy the game more on your play-through:
-The way the film clips is presented is important, play around with the controls. It's important.
-Every actor and object plays a part in this tale just because you might not think it is relevant doesn't mean it can't help you uncover more of the mystery.
- Give yourself time to digest the narrative and what is being presented, this isn't a game for you to try and race through on GDQ weekend, unless you are fine finishing your run confused and annoyed at not 'getting' it.' Immortality is more like a 7-course meal at a fancy restaurant something to be taken in and savored.

An absolutely incredible Roguelike game that has a variety of riveting items, modifiers, and characters. This game will challenge you, frustrate you, and improve your gaming abilities significantly. Binding of Isaac is jam packed with replayability through a massive amount of run variance that will give you hours of enjoyment.

An incredible Indie gem that blurs the line between many genres in addition to be a deceptively nuanced card game. This game builds upon many of the best core mechanics from video game card games (like Slay the Spire) and trading card games (like Magic The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh), and roguelites (like Slay the Spire, Dead Cells, etc.). Like the best roguelites the game is relatively difficult but rewards discovery and includes a strong balancing mechanisms to make the game easier when struggling. Beyond Slay the Spire though there is a substantial part of the game outside of the card based board game which is joy to discover as well. Overall an incredible game that innovates substantially.

An impressive digital adaption of a very fun game that puts you in the position of the managing a super hero team on your own or with friends. The are an incredible number of characters, villains, and environments. The high number of combinations allow for a huge level of replayability. Try out the base game, if you like it try the first pack on sale its a steal. The number of shortcuts the game allows also helps speed up play when villains and the environment do certain actions repeatedly speeding up play and making the digital game a delight.

I've played the physical and digital version and the biggest hindrance was the large amount of setup and clean up.

I would argue one of the best indie roguelikes of all time and can give your computer graphics card a work out if you tweak the settings. The wide variety of items allow a large number of wacky combinations providing a number of ways to play for each and every character. With the ability to add artifacts and change up characters and play with friends this is also a great and it handles inconsistent wifi better than almost any other party games I've played.

For even more fun try out adding mods with Rainfusion to push the game even farther. Overall this game is a blast and it being a 2D platformer allows item combinations that would break 3D games.

An absolute classic of puzzle gaming that demonstrates the very best of early windows games. If you want to share a simpler puzzle game with your kids or want to throwback to the essentials of puzzle game try this out. The early levels start out very simply but given it 10-20 levels and you'll fall in love too.

A Bizarre side-scrolling action game that provides hints of axiom verge and other greats. I'm not a fan of horror films or games but this game still proved oddly delightful with a combination of unique abilities and fascinating puzzles. Sometimes this required a bit of back tracking but the outcome is all the sweeter.

Brings together the best elements of roguelikes (such as risk of rain, binding of Isaac) with the drafting and deck building fundamentals that underpin some of the most popular Magic The Gathering formats like sealed and drafting. One of the best deck building games out there. Best of all no micro-transactions and modding support.

An incredible game that I spent a fair number of hours on. I'm only about half way through but can safely say I have thoroughly enjoyed this game. Although the story is a bit thin compared to many other games but it fits perfectly with this game. GemCraft - Chasing Shadows has an incredible depth with so many dimensions and avenues to beat each level. It is definitely worth the price.
