THE FINALS is genuinely one of the most fun shooters I've played in a while. Ultimate destruction, very well optimized for lower-end hardware, and just a plethora of toys to use in it's sandbox. Gunplay, TTK, and movement are also just awesome feeling, just the right mix of Halo and Apex without any their BS. While the amount of modes are pretty small, pretty much the same amount as the Open Beta, my friends and I keep just wanting to jump back in because of how dynamic the gameplay keeps every match unique, action-packed, and fun! If I can feel satisfied fragging out, despite even losing, that's a fun game.

I can definitely see a future where the sweatier subset of players make take some of the experimental fun out of the experience, and it's entirely possible the live-service will break down the fun core game with power creep or poor balancing. But for now, this is an absolute must-try. Give it a shot, and I'm sure you'll find something to like.

I can finally live my power fantasy of bashing small people with hammers. :)
