The game is great. I enjoy the gameplay loop, the gunplay and weapon customization. The world seems pretty big, even though it's quite empty most of the time.

What really bothers me a lot is the whole technical aspect of Fallout 76. The game runs like crap even on good hardware, and the textures are ugly, muddy, and just don't look good at all. It really blows my mind how a game can run so poorly and look so ugly at the same time. You can't turn off VSync in the game, which leads to terrible input lag, especially at higher refresh rates. You literally have to edit the game config file to disable it. You can't change the resolution, fullscreen mode or any other small setting without restarting the game. Also, the game crashes way too often. Occasionally, just tabbing out of the game is enough to cause the entire game to freeze, and sometimes you can't even quit it using Task Manager. I've already had to use the terminal twice and quit the game with a taskkill command. And it's really a shame that not the slightest thing has been done about it to this day.

I enjoyed trying it out for free. And I would probably pay $10 at most for it in a sale for such a technical disaster. As I said before, the gameplay is enjoyable, but in the long run it's not much fun to run through a buggy and muddy looking landscape with a terrible framerate.
